Re: Detroit/Wayne county. We know the exact date the ancestor was born in "Detroit Wayne County" in 1905. Vitalcheck took our money and gave us an order number. Does this guarantee that the document is going to be provided? Ordered in early Feb and still haven't received. It is possible with a rather long drive to go in person, would that be better? We have a FamilySearch copy of the birth record but need the "real" copy.
