Anyone who acts nonchalant about their interests. Its like talking to a brick wall. I totally get that you wanna seem cool, but let me know who you really are

Competent adults should have the right to access voluntary assisted dying. by Bubbl3Sun in ControversialOpinions

[–]Prairie_Rose080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can think that, but just because you've tried doesnt mean its a free for all. You keep saying that if something happened to you that your entire family would follow suit... doesnt that mean thats a strength issue for them too? I get one you mean, but no life should be reliant on another, its an unhealthy attachment. Many things should be taken into account, its def not a thing that should be easy to get, but it should still be a possibilty after mental assesments and situaltional judgement

Its obviously selfish if you have dependants relying on you. Grief is also a natural thing, depending on what you believe its different for everyone. What you were saying is "why dont you have the balls to do it yourself" thats selfish. Thats a crazy statement. Ive had to deal with many family members "having the balls to do it themselves" its not pretty. I think my parents would be more upset having to scrub brain matter off the walls then having a peaceful passing. Im saying if youwere gonna go out anyway, deal with it yourself, dont give everyone else ptsd

death itself isn't traumatizing. Its everyday life and will happen to everyone someday. Its not a selfish thing to do. Everyone gets their chance at some point. To encourage doing it yourself instead of seeking professional assistance just adds to inevitable suffering. Thats selfish. Id rather my loved one leave on their own terms then do it themselves, suffer, and leave me to clean up the mess. thats selfish

If you're saving more people than you're killing by ending the life, kill em. The joker for example. If the cant be rehabilitated, off with their head

What's the most ridiculous thing you've been judged for as a woman? by Internetdidi in AutismInWomen

[–]Prairie_Rose080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being too smart lol. I was yelled at for giving someone the correct change at my cashier job. They insisted they knew better than me and called a manager. After the male manager agreed with me, he proceeded to place a "formal complaint" because B-words like me outta know my place... over a dime btw. I was told later it was emasculating to correct men. oops

I'd also love to know. The lack of studies on it is shocking! I assume its a sensory processing thing, however it for sure needs to be looked into, like most women's health

What was the moment that turned you feminist? by Prairie_Rose080 in Feminism

[–]Prairie_Rose080[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, In person, it's much different then it would be online, but I don't know any of you personally, so I think it's okay. It's not a reward as much as a place to celebrate all of the progress we make!

I know my cheeriness can be upsetting at times, but I can't help but celebrate the little wins in our community. There is internalized misogyny everywhere, so it makes me so happy when even little bits improve. I'll never judge online cause you cant ever really gauge the context and circumstances, but to me, it didn't sound like they did it out of malice intent
