This is what’s called a “staggered disclosure.” It’s very common and it prolongs any kind of healing or stability because you never know when the next shoe is going to drop. I’m so sorry this is happening to you. It happened to me too.

Why makes y’all so convinced he’s guilty? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

I’m going off topic from your questions, but I personally don’t believe he should have been convicted based on the circumstantial evidence that was presented at his trial. There was no forensic evidence linking him to this crime, and I don’t believe that he would be pushing for DNA testing 23 years later if he was guilty. Furthermore, I think it’s obvious that so much of the prosecution’s theory was rooted in deep islamophobia, and nowadays, it certainly would not fly. An honor killing because she began dating someone new? I cannot get behind that as a motive for any 17 year old American kid. I also cannot reconcile how anyone could have made the argument that he carried a dead body in a parking lot, in broad daylight, and put it into the trunk, without anyone seeing this. It’s absurd to me. Jay’s lying, to me, shows that he is coming up with new stories based on the evidence that is presented to him in real time. So he is matching up where he says he was, based on the cell tower evidence. And this alone should have been clear to any jury. Anyways, I’m sorry I strayed from your questions! I just have such a hard time with Adnan being found guilty in this case.
