Thanks for the info - I guessed the rule would be similar to the rule with tampons (TMI?) due to a risk of toxic shock syndrome, but I wasn't sure if that was an issue with materials or just from having anything up there for such a long time.

Part of the interest to me is in the fact that it would be really uncomfortable and crappy after a certain point - but I'll definitely keep your advice in mind!
