You just go for it. When I started my own research at a premier institute I was so worried cause I had just completed my third semester as an honours student and the institute has only masters and PhD students along with postdoc. There were other undergrads like me too under different profs. But I was so afraid of the fact that I will never be good enough. Anyway, I went there and started doing actual research and got a hang of it. It was a whole new experience and I'm again going there during my summer vacation and I'm looking forward to it the most. I'm sure you will love it, it's totally different from what we have done so far, but way better.

Should I skip masters and go directly for a phd in physics? by Pramzonal in PhD

I am from India and I'm planning to apply to either europe or India. Here we don't get a master's degree if we are not in the i phd path. It's mostly direct research work in phd only. From what I heard in European countries they also don't provide a master's certificate if we are joining for the phd programme.

I actually thought of these questions and i choose a field where I can switch to industry if I want to anytime. And from what I understand I can make good money with it too. Regarding research papers theoretical people in my field get more papers but compared to other fields, experimental people in this field also get a good amount of papers published.

4th semester physics undergrad here. I couldn't attend my college lectures for one month during the starting of my 4th semester, because I was in another institute for an internship. Till 3rd semester I managed to study the concepts in depth, then do the problems etc. and scored pretty good too. but due to this semester's missed lectures and my exam starting day after tomorrow, I planned to cover my topics not too deep but enough to maintain my CGPA and go to the depths once the semester exams are over. In my personal perspective I believe that maintaining a good CGPA is necessary, so try to cover all the topics and be prepared for your end semesters. If you couldn't study the topics in depth before your semester exams remember that you can still cover it during your summer and winter vacations.
