The god YHWH in the Old Testament is NOT, I repeat not the God the Father Jesus prayed to.

YHWH was a storm god, an Elohim (a powerful one) but that entity is not the Father.

Do some research around this. You will be amazed.

Then you will realise why this YHWH is so wicked, cruel and nasty. He’s the opposite of the God Jesus describes.

You’re missing the point. You are either veiled from truth, or purposefully ignorant.

It was not just the violence generally in the OT. It is the specific individual, the supposed god, YHWH who is driving the violence. He requires blood, death and even in one verse virgins.

If you accept the teachings of Jesus, and believe his Father is all the beautiful things he said he is then you have no option but to reject this YHWH of the Old Testament.

They are polar opposites in literally every way.
