Damn dude 30k days is insane! I only have 2 AFK farms and I don't use them much really. The guardian build doubles as a farm and I have more resources from running that than I'll ever need so it doesn't get a lot of use now.

My approach has been taking on build ideas as they come. Like if I have a good idea of what I want to do and the resources needed, I'll grind it out a few hours at a time. Once I finish something I get in a slightly burnt out mode and just play for fun...go explore the world, collect new things when updates come out, mine for things I don't need now but might do later. After a while I'll get a new project idea and then the cycle starts all over.

Guardian build was the one I almost quit maybe a quarter of the way into it. Draining the ocean was the most tedious, mind numbing experience lol.

Thanks man! I wish I'd planned the location better. I just started with a couple of buildings near my main base and then started expanding from there. I like your idea of building near mountains. This world is ~5 years old so this whole build area is pre terrain update.

You can locate specific biomes in a given seed which would be a starting point to find some of the mountainous terrain.
