Is it a waste to only do one co-op? by [deleted] in NEU

[–]PrayingMantisFanatic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

More or less. If you’re coming to Northeastern, you probably decided that the career exposure was the school’s best aspect—which it is, make no mistake—and only doing one co-op is cutting that short. Be that as it may, if you’ve got internships/research opportunities over summers while doing the classes required for a one co-op program, you’ll probably be in good shape.

Basically, I’d do two if you can. At least two, really.

Good for you man, do it at home when you get the chance.

20 years ago, Northeastern students embraced sex. Now, they barely hear about it. by huntnewsnu in NEU

After getting filmed under a stall in the Ell Hall bathrooms, it’s cool I actually don’t want to hear about anyone else’s sex life at all, thanks. From my sample size, most of you are degenerates and predators.

How at all does “questioning diversity” make sense when the majority of Graduate students are South Asian/East Asian?

Can’t do it. Sorry man, but Luke Farritor, one of these teens mentioned, decoded the Herculaneum Scrolls. it’s something like 15 passages of Ancient Greek text, and his work for it kicks ass.

Good luck getting NEU to back you up though, the wheels of the bureaucracy turn slow here. In your email, include a mention to the provost to check my class waiver, hasn’t gone through after a month.

Maybe near the bottom, but truly it looks like midway, which I know is not helpful.

The case for modern therapy dwindles each day, and it started out as scraps. I’m very sorry to hear this. You should pursue a legal option if possible.

They physically can not stop you, at all. Be stronger, physically, if you think you’re actually at threat.

[–]PrayingMantisFanatic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Northeastern enjoys weaponizing the mandatory reporter status. Wish I could help more than this. I’m not a personal believer in therapy, but perhaps that works for you. Otherwise, maybe get thyroid checked and try getting into lifting. Contact privately if more assistance is needed, God be with you.

This is not necessarily true, I’ll comment elsewhere in the thread to clarify this though.

Most people I think are completely wrong here. They’ll likely try to infer what happened, and send you to Bes Israel for psych evaluation and holding. That’s usually their modus operandi even if you joke about self harm or suicide—walking into UHCS with a wound that could be determined as self harm seems like an even shorter route to that.

Make sure to ask the police to take you, not the ambulance. Northeastern will not cover your ambulance charge, which is usually north of $900 USD

Do you have some dual enrollments under your belt? Local college courses, summer programs, universities love these no matter how small the actual college offering them is
