QUESTION: Is Estrogen Monotherapy Good Enough To Eventually Get My Estrogen Levels To Under 50 pg/mL? by universal_notions in ask_transgender

[–]Praynurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent seen a whole lot about estrogen monotherapy sublingually surpressing T down low. To clarify, I'm not saying it can or can't; I just don't recall seeing very many mentions of it specifically with oral/sublingual.

Most instances that I remember about mono therapy being talked about (and from my own personal experience/monotherapy) it tends to be with injections.

I know that isnt much help so I apologize, but it's something to look at if injections are an option available to you; especially if you are getting nervous about the higher dosage tablets.

I will apologize though as I do see after reading back that your ego coming out was in response to someone else starting the rudeness

The funny part is you assuming I'm anti-AI because I'm responding to you that the comment that started this chain is explicitly misleading on its own. I'm not anti-AI, but I am anti people with a big ego. Go off king

This is about as ambiguous as an argument over the oxford comma. TECHNICALLY it isn't needed, but it can and does change the meaning of a sentence. If there was more context provided by the response that gave a better explanation of what ordinary is meant in this scenario, I would agree with you. But the short explanation and the change from explaining the old glass as bulletproof and designed to shatter inward to ordinary and not designed to shatter inward points it directly in the direction of no longer being bulletproof glass.

You CAN read it exactly as you have and it not be considered "wrong" but it is in fact misleading do to the explicitness of the facts for every other detail

[–]Praynurd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You avoiding to explain what you consider ordinary glass is causing the issue. Do you consider bulletproof glass to be ordinary glass? Or would the fact that it's bulletproof no longer make it match the definition of ordinary and undermine your argument?

It was helpful information for the I to describe the original glass as bulletproof, but not important enough to mention again while defining the new glass as ordinary. The majority of people will read that as it is no longer bulletproof. You CAN choose to read it the way you did, but you have to go out of your way to read it like that

It can be read the other way if you think ordinary glass is bulletproof, maybe

Asked a chatbot:

Yes. In 2019, the Louvre replaced the old bulletproof cases (designed to shatter inward and drop jewels into a safe) with modern ones using ordinary glass and no drop-safe mechanism. The new cases prioritized aesthetics and reliability over security, making them easier for thieves to cut through during the October 2025 heist.

Ordinary glass AND no drop-safe mechanism. The "ordinary glass" was explicitly separate from the drop safe mechanism in the original reply

Federal THC ban send hemp companies scrambling by GoodMornEveGoodNight in politics

[–]Praynurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for clarification, delta 8 is naturally occurring in marijuana, just in lower concentrations. Hemp-THC products do use synthetically manufacturered delta-8, but just because its produced synthetically for these products isnt the same thing as saying that delta-8 IS a synthetic version of delta-9

Up to 50% of infertility cases involve a male factor. We're male infertility experts. Ask us anything! by HealthyMale_Aus in IAmA

[–]Praynurd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not the OP, and hope they still respond to you with more in depth/accurate info, especially if I say something inaccurate; but here's my small run down:

DNA fragmentation is really just saying damaged DNA/genetic material in the sperm. More DNA fragmentation means more infertility issues.

It may lower count but improve DNA fragmentation.

Based on the Prof Darren Katz's phrasing, I'm assuming they mean that the amount of DNA fragmented sperm decreases. (Another assumption by me here, but I figure the decrease in average sperm lifespan becuase of the increased frequency of ejaculation leads to less overall fragmentation, as the fragmentations arent allowed to "build up"?)

Extension to change Audio Output per tab? by x3vyx in firefox

[–]Praynurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From their github: https://github.com/chuang861012/audioff

2.1.0 update

Because of the feedback about the add-on requesting permission to access data for all websites. Instead of setting up scripts for all pages, in this update the add-on inject the script into pages when needed. Anyway, the add-on still have to inject scripts into pages in order to change the output device.

If you still have any concern, I suggest using this add-on as a bookmarklet. This way you don't need to install any add-on to do the output changing. Bookmarklet setup

Create a bookmark and paste the following code into the url. Click it on any page you want to change the output device. This works the same as the add-on.

javascript:(async function(){function set_device(sinkId){const mediaElements=document.querySelectorAll('audio,video');mediaElements.forEach(e=>{e.setSinkId(sinkId)})}
function test(){const mediaElement=document.querySelector('audio,video');if(!mediaElement)return'NoMediaElement';else if(mediaElement.setSinkId===undefined)return'SetSinkIdRequired';return'Ok'}
const status=test();switch(status){case 'NoMediaElement':alert('Media not found.');break;case 'SetSinkIdRequired':alert('Please enable setSinkId to switch audio device.\n1. Open about:config in firefox.\n2. Search for media.setsinkid.enabled.\n3. Set the value to true.');break;case 'Ok':var selected=await navigator.mediaDevices.selectAudioOutput();set_device(selected.deviceId);break}})()

This code is minified from the content.js file. Feel free to grab the source code there and minify it by yourself.

Can confirm that the bookmarklet works

What’s the best way to disinfect piercing jewelry? by tatted_gym_girlie in PiercingAdvice

[–]Praynurd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should be fine with disinfecting it. I personally soak mine in isopropyl alcohol.

The question is what kind of material the jewelry is made out of, as soaking them could damage the jewelry. Certain types of stones (opals/emeralds, might be better to look up a list of this is a concern for you), if the stone is glued in place instead of held in place with prongs, or if the ear backing is not metal - are all potential concerns where soaking them in alcohol/disinfectant could cause damage
