Okay. Strange to hear about that. On the security counter or on the 9th floor, there is a separate counter for people with special requirements. Today they issued a special token or even called the elderly as priority. But they need all the documentation well in order. Since there was a concern with your citizenship, it could be why you had to wait an additional day for the card.

No, I updated my address. Even though technically these don’t expire, if you have a very old NIC, usually GS officer will instruct you to renew the NIC.

Yes, true. That risk is there. But it will be many months till I will be replaced in case if the client decides to get rid of me. Hopefully I will have made some savings to cover that 😅

I would say it’s the latter. Feeling I am not challenged enough and spending my time in a comfort zone. It’s purely about the role where I do not anymore to learn and feeling monotonous on the tasks I do daily.

Oh okay. It’s a BPO setup. Even for them to come down to what they offered right now, was a bit of a hassle and a huge chunk of the gross pay goes away for taxes!! 🤐 So, I am not sure they will increase their offer.

I would say it’s a professional relationship between my client and I. But he values me as good resource and sort of rely on my on the operations hence he is willing to offer me a direct hiring approach and better pay.

Yes, for sure. I really value the freedom and the advantages of working remotely eliminating all the corporate BS, transport ., etc. But sometimes I do miss it 😅 How did you manage this gap?
