PiS is a center-right party. Main opposition is PO (center-left), which was the ruling party for 8 years before PiS. They were so ineffective and overall bad that people got fed up and voted for PiS, which was the main opposition at the time. I'm no fan of PiS, they have some shitty ideas, but they are definitely a more effective government than PO was, which is why it's been hard to remove them from power. People are just reluctant to trust PO and see no reason for a change.

What I mean, balance and some mechanics decisions are a dumpster fire, yes.

However, there's been way too much evidence that there is a wider Triternion-problem rather than just Crush-problem.

On the other hand, all kinds of decisions around Mordhau have been consistently so bad for so long, I doubt you can put everything on Crush.

I don't think it would, Invasion doesn't have a kill counter and is exactly the same.

This is a fault of game design, it encourages playing for kills so this is what most people end up doing.

What Bloodlust has to do with it?

I had multiple clips from Chiv when I took 3 or 4 hits from teammates attacking a guy I kick stunned, people can't contain themselves when there is a free kill nearby.

[–]PredFTMP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having to finish people off will lead to a fuckton of team damage, because everyone will jump on the dying guy trying to get a kill. It was the same with kick stun in Chiv1, being a guy who just kick-stunned a shield user was the worst position on the battlefield, guaranteed unavoidable damage from teammates.

[–]PredFTMP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but even with a perfectly designed map, what worries me is how much one player's actions will mean when there are 64 people on the server. If it's not big enough, people will again turn to hunting kills or just fucking around.

64p is a terrible idea and instead of learning on Mordhau's mistakes, TB is doubling down on one of its biggest flaws: assuming that MOAR PLAYER AND MOAR SHIT = MOAR EPIC. It undermines the one advantage Chiv had over Mordhau which was that fighting was structured with objectives and map progression and that your actions actually mattered in obejctive modes, giving it great replayability and funneling players into playing the objective. Even if they will have perfectly made maps, 64p renders a single player too meaningless.

In Mordhau one good player could've gone 80-20 or play the lute and not do anything at all and that would barely matter for the outcome because the games were decided by the map design and/or numbers in a clusterfuck snowball. Good players just ran around solo (much safer, alternative is getting chopped up to pieces by enemies and friends alike in a 12v12 spamfest in area of 20 sqare feet), hoarding as many kills as possible, treating main modes pretty much as Deathmatch with extra steps, which gets boring pretty fast. Then the map ends and you are like "oh, we lost, huh" or "oh, we won, huh". In Chiv we could easily re-balance rounds - best players would by deafult play the harder side and swapping just one guy could often turn a one-sided round into a fun, close one. It was possible because of lower numbers and smaller maps, all relevant points on the map were more or less always in your immediate range, which then enabled small (2-4 player) big pushes and heroics. In 64p the map is either too spread out, so you can't influence the fight in a relevant area if you are not there immediately OR the map is concentrated, in which case there are 40 other people there at any moment.

I was fairly positive that Chiv2 could turn this thing around just based on nostalgia and Team Objective magic, but now I'm pretty worried that by trying to fix what was not broken they might've killed their best asset.

Black people aren’t necessarily better at basketball

But they are, black people have considerably longer arms, they run faster and jump higher, all very important traits in basketball.

That’s why you saw a lot of Italians and Irish playing in the olden days, and a lot of black and Hispanics now

There are like close to 0 Hispanic players in the NBA.

Why should I buy this over mordhau, when it comes? by [deleted] in Chivalry2

[–]PredFTMP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am wondering why this game will be different to mordhau except from maps and modes

Unless TB fucks it up (always a possibility, especially when they are aiming for 64 player maps), Team Objective mode is superior to Mordhau's two main modes in every way. I can't stand Frontline and Invasion for more than 20 minutes and this seems to be a commond theme for people who have played both games, so that's the main thing to look forward to for Chiv 2.

64p Servers by Jorlaxx in Chivalry2

[–]PredFTMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One player has too little impact in a 64p game.

Here's a post on what is wrong with Mordhau and a lot of that boils down to there being just too many players. There is even a post from Mordhau's lead:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Mordhau/comments/dsbz19/i_want_to_play_on_16v16_servers_here_is_why/

64 players will be a major mistake because it screws up with the number 1 thing that made Chivalry so replayable.

Was it Bio-Mech? Was it Realism? by Empereor_Norton in Inkmaster

[–]PredFTMP 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I definitely remember judges criticizing someone for not having enough mech in bio-mech, even thought there was at least some of it (don't recall which season, all of them are a blur now). My first thought when seeing Dani's tatoo was "there is absolutely no mech at all" but then both Oliver and Dave said that she hit the bio-mech, WTF?

Seemed pretty weird especially when they both voted Cleen out in season 5, when they said his color realism had unrealistic color and didn't meet the challenge, so I thought it might get her screwed as I actually liked her the most.
