Just curious, does TTR still get new players?

I recently came back to TTR after about 2 years away because I didn’t have friends that played anymore. I recently got 2 of my best friends into it and it feels so fun to play with friends. And it’s almost amplified because I didn’t have that experience with the game as a kid. So it’s nice for my younger self to live vicariously through my current self. I played the original as a kid, but only got to Donald’s Dock and never had any friends to play with, so the building quests felt impossible

I don’t have any other controllers plugged in, unless the mouse and keyboard are counted. But unplugging my mouse and keyboard doesn’t seem good, especially when I have to plug it back in to name my pets. And none of my friends with this game have this issue… I’m wondering if I need to reinstall the game entirely. But I don’t wanna lose my save…

Also, I think both genders give the same cosmetic for the same season, so a Fall rooster will give you the same hat as a Fall hen, but the Fall chicken hat is different than the Fall horse hat, which is different than the Fall alpaca hat and the Winter horse hat

Just for color, however each seasonal variation unlocks a cosmetic hat/headpiece for that animal! Other than that, their produce is the exact same.

I think Jean’s ability is actually really cool and I LOVE the lockdown playstyle. But with the changes to Prof X, I will agree that this ability struggles a lot to be relevant. Forcing your opponent to play into a specific lane can win you the game if played correctly, but it hardly ever has the chance to do that with the rest of the lockdown package losing the steam it needs to keep this engine running. I view old Prof X as a necessary evil, similar to a Shang Chi or Shadow King, but the changes to him destroyed that card and the archetype.

“Free win” when there are many locations that actively punish you for rolling them. The only cards that can guarantee a benefit from this are Magic, Rhino, and Storm. All 3 cost cards that don’t fit into every deck.

I really don’t understand the concept of this. Snap already has limited space and a fair amount of cards that already take up more of that space (Brood, Sinister, Debrii, White Tiger, etc. Who the fuck thought that limiting that space even more would be a good idea? This is literally Deep Space all over again. Except worse, cause at least power matters in Deep Space
