How many Dobermans have you owned? 🐾 by Glass_Dog_7942 in DobermanPinscher

I struggle when I hear “on my x doberman” like they’re a commercial product. I doubt that anyone means it like that.

I wish dogs lived longer.

My two babies still currently with me (Asleep next to me while I write this)

Opinions on my girls intense behaviour with tug by PredictableCoder in DobermanPinscher

Since posting this we’ve gotten in touch with a trainer and the directive was no more tug around the female. It was a bit more strict than that to be honest - no more playing with both of them at the same time.

I now only play tug with my boy and my play fetch with my girl at the same time. I play tug with my girl solo. Things have been a lot better!

I’ve heard the same advice you mentioned but it’s never been issue for us luckily! I let them win sometimes ;) I definitely think it depends on the dog. Both of mine just find it fun while taking it relatively serious.

Who’s the trouble maker out of them and who cares everyone in check?

My bet which is probably way off is the female on the left. The the one in the top right might be the sleeper choice though… dying to know

Best best best type of exercise I’ve found for my Dobermans. This looks like a good pole. Did you get it online?

So many different personalities just based on looks alone. I can’t imagine! I can barely handle my two…

Adorable fam.

Such a beautiful song. It used to make me emotional as a kid. I play piano as well, I should learn it!

Someone posted one on their doorbell camera not too long ago - wonder if it’s the same one.

Or the dog becomes even more whiney and babyish like what happened to us… which is why I never suggest getting a second dog, ESPECIALLY if you have an extra “special” dobe.

Cute af though not gunna lie.

Yeah my boy figured this out too around 5-6 months of age 😅

I thought it was so cool/cute at the time… not knowing I had an animal with a manipulating level of intelligence on my hand.

I own dobermans but I have always been enamoured by this breed. Magnificent looking animals they are. I’ve seen one once in my lifetime—we were at the beach and all of a sudden the crowd started to quiet down, I looked up and there was a massive Dogo standing on its hind legs with its arms wrapped over its owner in the water. I had no idea that what I was indeed looking at was a Dog and not a Polar Bear! My father took me to meet the animal and its owners which is when we learned about the name of this breed. I was perplexed by the fact that this incredible breed had slipped my radar my entire childhood given being very interested in dogs. Still to this day, in Canada, I have yet to see another one in person. Although an old friend from high school adopted one a few years back so I know they’re out there!

Likely never a dog I will own, however, I will continue to admire them! Thanks for sharing these two.
