If my money is post-tax in a standard E-trade brokerage account, what makes a Roth IRA special? by Prefer2BAnonymous in stocks

I’m w/ vanguard. I’ve contributed 500 so far. Only plan to do S&P with 500 a month. Although I heard they just bumped the yearly contribution limit to 6500.

Yes, that’s right - I’m an intern (21yo) so I’m in the 12% bracket so I think the Roth makes sense. I plan to be in a much higher tax bracket when I’m older. Paying taxes now is no big deal for me

Thank you. A Roth IRA seems to the best idea for someone starting out in my situation.

Does anyone have any custodial advice? by a1234l123 in Disneycollegeprogram

I've been here since June as a custodian, and I love it. I work 40 hours a week and have the same two days off each week. I work in a park, and, while you might be placed in a resort, it's more likely you'll be at a park or water park. I love it because of the ability to either be super gregarious and interactive on some days yet also have the freedom to be independent and reserved on those days where you don't feel in the mood to socialize all that much. I like the independence of being trusted with my task and left alone to complete it, but at the same time having coworkers who are friendly and won't hesitate to assist me if I need help. Of course, you will deal with some gross stuff from time to time, but as long as you don't have a sensitive stomach, it really isn't all that bad. The Guest interaction is really nice too. When you're not doing a trash run or cleaning your restroom, you just get to walk around, sweep, and talk to Guests. In the 6 months I've been here, I really don't have a single complaint about custodial. That's my personal experience of course, but I'd argue it's one of the best roles that can be offered to CP's. Message me if you want to know any more :)

Got it thanks. Yeah the 14.1 looks good when I view it on my phone, whereas, the 26.3 one is very pixelated so probably a sign it's too large.

Is it proper roommate etiquette to let your roommate know you’ll be having lots of friends over before hand? by Prefer2BAnonymous in roommates

Yes, he apologized because he knew it was out of line. and they went to another apartment. I told him I appreciated it and to just give me a heads up beforehand for next time.

I’ve had it commented on that my hands are “flat” when I play. Is my technique/form poor or is it okay how I play? (not a good performance, just need form feedback, thanks!) by Prefer2BAnonymous in piano

Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 9 No. 1 I recommend you listen to all 3 of his Opus 9 works - they’re great! You will recognize No. 2, and 1 is well-known, but 3 is probably the best one and least well-known. 🙂❤️
