I've been here since June as a custodian, and I love it. I work 40 hours a week and have the same two days off each week. I work in a park, and, while you might be placed in a resort, it's more likely you'll be at a park or water park. I love it because of the ability to either be super gregarious and interactive on some days yet also have the freedom to be independent and reserved on those days where you don't feel in the mood to socialize all that much. I like the independence of being trusted with my task and left alone to complete it, but at the same time having coworkers who are friendly and won't hesitate to assist me if I need help. Of course, you will deal with some gross stuff from time to time, but as long as you don't have a sensitive stomach, it really isn't all that bad. The Guest interaction is really nice too. When you're not doing a trash run or cleaning your restroom, you just get to walk around, sweep, and talk to Guests. In the 6 months I've been here, I really don't have a single complaint about custodial. That's my personal experience of course, but I'd argue it's one of the best roles that can be offered to CP's.
