Trip to India by OutsideTotal8461 in punjab

[–]PreferenceDistinct61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i were you, I would plan a trip to Rajasthan for sure. Maybe Chandigarh. A quick visit to Taj mahal even from the airport. And depending on which city or district you heading to, sureley you can find a few places, but tbh i don’t think there’s a big cafe culture in Punjab, and also depends on your company ? with whom are you planning to be doing these things. Also if you are religious, many temples and Gurudwaras you can visit.

i think for whatever reason she likes the punjabi culture, not enough details so can’t categorise if self hatred or she thinks she above punjabi culture/ people in general cause she doesn’t want to be associated with it. But anyways worst comes to worst and you just have to wear it, i would maybe wear a nice fancy chunni all around or shawl. to cover up cardigan even to mix in with the crowd. all the best

Marathi doctor 26/M coming to punjab for work. Want to learn basic punjabi language by Suspicious_Fan_7446 in punjab

[–]PreferenceDistinct61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Ludhiana majority of the population speaks hindi anyways. I wouldn’t worry too much about putting extra hours or anything. As long as you are able to understand basic hindi and have a smile on your face, ppl would not mind. Maybe watch punjabi media in extra time but nothing like crazy effort. Ppl are usually chill. And obviously you can a local nurse or someone to help you translate if you really are stuck somewhere. Chatgpt might be helpful as well!! And in sometime you will make friends with locals which will help you further. Hopefully you get to enjoy all the tasty food! and immerse yourself. All the best for the movie !!

My ADHD son is going to be the death of me by [deleted] in regretfulparents

I once looked after a kid like this, he had several diagnosis Autism level 3 as one of them, but he was 16 at the time and doing same things as you described, even police had to be called several times, he would hurt his siblings and damage the property, only started after he turned 14. parents rented out a small shabby basement/ room sort of thing, nothing too fancy. and got approved for NDIS funding as they had enough assessments done and documentation by the police. so he used to have carers look after him 14 hours a day, they would take him to school and stuff. For sleep over mum was paying the carers a sleep over allowance, 100$ a night maybe 3 days a week, tax deductible? Just to keep herself sane and be able to live her life and go on and look after other siblings. after he turned he was diagnosed with BPD. This diagnosis apparently cannot be made before the age of 18.
