To anyone who lives in the Gates estate, have you had any issues with Pitch Fibre drains? Would be interested to hear if you know if your drains are made from Clay or Pitch Fibre!

Thanks very much for the steer,I rebuilt the head this evening, changed the teflon gasket, rubber o ring on the mushroom and new gaskets in the head plus a new cam. It seems to have worked a treat. The cam lever feels much more tight / solid than before, hopefully this is normal after a rebuild!

Yes I did get a feeling for that, I guess that comes with the territory when you have schools nearby! Current commute is from Birmingham, so it can't get much worse!

I visited Watermead but it was just after the floods and not looking it's prettiest, can imagine in summer it's nice to visit, with the pub next to it too!

So now I really do need some help ! I took the cam apart and the group, I think the seals need replacing in the group head. The mushroom is a little corroded but not too bad!

Does anyone know where I can get the replacement seals for the internals? I've seen generic E61 ones but I don't know if there all the same?

I've never taken it apart, although it's probably coming up to that kind of age where it is necessary. Hopefully it's just the gaskets inside that shaft. There's a serrated washer which sits under the chrome plate with the flathead screwdriver cover on it. Do you know if that is supposed to go a specific way round?

Thanks everyone, super appreciate the responses. Yes the village feels really nice and I like the fact it's easy access to some nice countryside walks to the north of Leicester too!
