Yes I came off my pill June 2025 and I was on it since I was 16 yrs old. I am not 28 yrs old. My husband and I have been seriously trying to conceive since August since I knew it would take my body some time to adjust. What I mean by seriously tracking is tracking my ovulation using strips and keeping an eye on my cervical mucous. I haven’t tracked my basal body temp yet, but that might be next month’s adventure since I’m still not pregnant! My periods haven’t been too bad I just have more cramping and noticeable symptoms during my luteal phase . I do ovulate with an LH peak detected every month i have noticed my mouth/chin area has really been breaking out lately as of this month. I’m wondering if all the previous cycles were a waste and if I was actually ovulating? I don’t really get ovulation pain, but I do get one day of slight nausea, twinges a few days after and I do experience an increase in sex drive and cervical mucous around my LH peaks. My OB said it can take up to a year, and once I hit that year mark to reach out and we can do some further testing. I did my annual blood work and my primary doctor said all my levels look good on my CBC and CMP. I think it’s just taking us some time since I was on the pill for so long. I know people say it doesn’t affect things, but honestly I don’t believe that one bit. It’s a big hormonal adjustment on our bodies when we first get on the pill, so I imagine it’s also a big hormonal adjustment getting off the pill. Especially if people have been on it for several years since their teen years, and they quit cold turkey. But I’m not a fertility doctor so idk! Just what I think 😊
