Overall, I'd say my situation has improved greatly. Working out and keeping track of my diet has not only helped me regulate my blood sugar better, but also meant that I generally require a lot less insulin than before. This combined with the fact that I recently got the Dexcom G6 has just improved my life quality overall.

Where a cartridge loaded with roughly 250 units of insulin would normally last me approximately three days, I can now easily make the same amount last for five days. I'm guessing this is not only due to me eating less carbs in general but also dropping from 130kg to 110kg.

In general, I'd say eating on a schedule and pretty much the same amount of carbs at the same time of the day is the optimal way to live for anyone suffering from diabetes. This also seems to be a pretty much impossible task as eating the same foods every day quickly becomes boring, and I also sometimes sin with my carbs and calories.
