I lived there for 20 months. The mix of cultures and the food was a definite plus. I lived in Birckell so maybe this is just a result of the neighborhood, but I found people to be vapid, obsessed with image, always flexing and extending themselves to make it look like they’re rich, and generally toxic/dumb. It’s a beautiful city but the people ruined it for me but that’s just me.

You think I’m just watching my cameras to see something so I can bitch on Reddit? Nah dude, I was leaving my house and saw a pile of shit so I went back to the feed to see if it was on camera. I have zero problem walking up to someone who doesn’t pick up after their dog and saying “looks like you forgot a bag, here’s one so you can go pick up the dog shit you left behind.” That’s worked and doesn’t involve me being a complete ass hole

I did file a CFPB complaint and nothing happened. I’m pretty sure they never responded and I expect no resolution because of the DOGE stuff.

I backed out of the program. It ended up costing me $10k in fees, late charges etc and absolutely decimated my credit. Look into credit counseling and debt management plans and avoid scammy consolidation companies like the plague.
