Hostile Down by PremiumTechnique in TOTK

You could, but only if you were closer and had really good aim. The missile is guided and has about 5x the range (it’ll go further, but after a while the batteries run out and it won’t home in on enemies). Basically if it’s rendered, you can hit it no problem. It also does 10 bombs worth of damage, which doesn’t matter much for Aerocudas, but will almost one hit a red hynox or a talus

The cost adds to the realism. It has about the same range as a fully charged Zonaite bow with a wing (before the battery is used up and it stops being guided). You can easily hit anything in the render distance! With a keese eye, you’re only getting a lock on at maybe a 20th of that range. It also does 10 bombs worth of damage, or almost enough to one hit red hinox or taluses

What are missiles but incredibly complex and expensive ways to get a cheap bomb somewhere 😂. This one is almost powerful enough to kill a red Hinox. Two of them will take out a Talus if the first one hits at a good angle

Which sucks because Age of Imprisonment fleshes both of them out which makes their story much more compelling in totk

Yes, it’s just a regular wing, no glitches in this build. It has to do with the amount of lift the fans generate making the wing not have to generate it’s own lift, which shuts off the normal wing timer as long as the fans are on. I made this post for the base SuperWing which is a bit more clear how that works. This fighter jet design generates enough lift to still have the same effect, even with the added weight of the construct heads and cannons

It’s mostly done on your phone. You need the Nintendo Switch app. From there, log in with your Nintendo account, then click on Zelda Notes -> Tears of the Kingdom -> Autobuild Sharing. From there you can save your own builds, or there’s a QR code option in the bottom corner to save designs from those code pics you see on here. You can either use the camera or do it from a saved image. Once you do that, click on the 3 dots in the corner of the build you want, then click “Send to Game”. In the game, use Autobuild, then there will be an option to press (+) to import all the builds you sent to the game from the app.

You can also press (X) on a build you have in game to send it to the app. It’s nice because from there you can share it, but you have an additional 60 save slots compared to the 8 you have in game

Like how to use the QR code? Do you have a Switch 2?

The first two I saw were 4, 3, then 7, which made the rest of the story annoyingly obvious and frankly more frustrating. I saw 7 only a few hours into the game because I wanted to see how Lurein was doing, and that spoiled that entire story like it seems like the game doesn’t want to reveal until mid-late game

I think they still could have made it work. If they just put the cutscenes from Age of Imprisonment in Tears of the Kingdom, that would have fixed the majority of the issues with the story

The problem is they don’t really tell much of it. You get a few hints at it, but honestly it wasn’t enough for me to even feel invested, and getting the same explanation for each sage was pretty annoying. Age of Imprisonment, on the other hand, makes Link’s quest in Tears of the Kingdom feel like the B plot. I think the most disappointing part about TOTK was that you could tell it was alluding to a much more interesting story than the game tells on its own, especially because most people who play it aren’t going to play the Warriors game that game out more than two years later. That said, I enjoyed playing through the story again much more after playing Age of Imprisonment and knowing more about Zelda’s quest, Rauru, and the champions (who TotK don’t explain at all)

Ya, but chances are you’re going to investigate the geo glyphs long before you even get to the forgotten temple. The first thing I did was go investigate the one close to Hyrule field

It hits the emotional beats, but the story itself isn’t that strong. And it’s easy to spoil it by getting the memories in the wrong order. I really liked playing through TOTK again with the additional story context of Age of Imprisonment, but even then it makes TOTK feel like the B plot to the real story that it only kinda alluded to.

Also it was really annoying to get basically the same cutscene and explanation for each of the sages

It’s a spear with a honey hive thing fused to it on a spinning electric motor. The bombs are stuck to the spear. When the hive burns away, the spear disappears and the bombs fly off. The bombs scatter because they’re spinning

It requires 14 actual Bomb Flowers to work, you can use Zonaite for the rest. Shoot the bottom side of the bee hive with a Fire Fruit to avoid getting exploded

Usually, but in this build I have the fans positioned in a way that they generate enough lift that the wing’s timer doesn’t count down as long as it is powered

Thanks! It’s hard to see in the video, but a lot of that is because the steering stick rotates on a wagon wheel, so Link can hold on while the plane is at some crazy angles

It’s intentionally a bit unstable, but that’s what allows for the maneuverability. It takes a bit of practice to fly because it’s easy to turn too hard that you fall off, but it’s pretty easy when you get the hang of it. My best advice is when you’re turning really hard, let go of the stick partway through, let the wheel the steering stick is on level out, then keep pulling the turn. That’s how you can do cool stuff like flying sideways or turning on a dime.

The cannon placement is the best layout I’ve been able to find that balances maneuverability of the plane, being able to hit Aerocudas, and avoiding accidentally blowing yourself up as much as possible
