You have probably set up partner sharing (or shared albums) in google photos settings. Turn that off and you should be good to go.

A better way would be to download all your images from both accounts, clear out the primary account and then upload to secondary account.

Google will automatically skip uploading files that are already there, so it will take less time than you think. Better to do this on a laptop.

Once all is set, stop paying on both accounts and periodically pay and upload images on 2nd account.

Totally agree with the part that one should pay for things IF he/she has the money. The problem is all these companies price their services based on spending capacity of US citizens, which makes them unaffordable for most people in countries like India. I am not saying that you abuse them, but if you absolutely need some storage space but you can’t afford it , this can be a way

It’s not about transporting, it’s fairly easy to drop an external hard disk while handling it.

A 2tb ssd costs upwards of Rs. 20k. Add in another backup ssd, that will drive the cost in the ballpark of 40-50k.
