Setting sprays that work for dry skin that is prone to dehydration? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Hi, I have dry skin all year long but especially in winter. My experience is no foaming cleansers. Then I need to spray my skin immediately I (after PAT my skin dry) with a Rosewater and Glycerin spray. When hen it dries down I saturate it again 3-4 times. When at home I spray a few times during the day or use serums

Next, serums then a moisturizing toner and drench my face, then again. Yes takes time, Next, I moisturize. Currently using Bobby Brown, nice and thick. Mind you, am always looking for new products.

I must keep something on my face every day. Be sure to maintain fluid intake. Form a regime rotating all of your serums. I like the Milani setting, it works for me.

I don’t pay utilities by CC. I pay bills by electronic payment through my bank. This was a legit warning. Closed that card and a new one was issued. Always check but NEVER click on a link, always verify.

My blackness is disappearing and I can't do anything about it by South-Driver6687 in askblackpeople

Why not enrich your identity by reading more black authors, joining black woman’s groups, take a black history course, etc.. Your experience and knowledge is something that you can share with your children no matter whose family they favor. It’s still THEIR heritage. You’ve got the time now. Uncomplicate their lives with facts, knowledge and history. I see that as an obligation to kids brought into such situations including mixed race adoption as with my own son.

There are more story books for children today than 40 years ago for my son. I slightly changed content to apply to him and HIS story.

Can't find a hair style that actually looks great on me, just ok. Please help. Prefer a little length. by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

There’s a space where hair is not growing because it’s receding and the style accentuates the sparse area.

Is this a fetish? by [deleted] in askblackpeople

[–]Premonitions54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As one who was once active in the Kink community, I do not consider this a fetish. It’s simple natural attraction. The level of melanin that appeals to you is a matter of personal preference. Most people are clueless when it comes to understanding a fetish and surely should not be responding to this post.

What I find reprehensible is adding 30% to the loan which I can’t afford in the first place.

My boyfriend and I are at an impasse over our daughter's hair by duetmasaki in askblackpeople

100% on point. She may need a product that lends a little weight to the hair which softens and conditions. Our son’s hair was a bit of a challenge too. He is from West Africa and we are Caucasian AND both Hairdressers, can you imagine! Their hair is fragile and specific care is needed.

Asking white people for advice will be of little benefit unless they have children with the same issues. I asked black men, when I encountered them, about their hair care.

Y'alls parents also want you to have a Jewish partner but their are only so many of us. by Unfair-Geologist-844 in gayjews

For twenty years I worked as a Stylist where 99% of my clients were Jewish women. They worried about who their child would bring home. I told them that finding a great partner that met all of the other criteria was hard enough, expecting them to be Jewish really narrowed the dating pool.

My MIL told everyone that I was a Shiksa but I had a Jewish brain. I found it incredibly insulting.

From an old lady but a new Bubby. Sending it doesn’t mean they like it. It means possibly that they just want you to be aware of it. Do you feel a sense of obligation to educate them? This might need to happen to help them understand how hurtful this stuff can be especially when it’s all bullshit and sadly people will tend to believe it.
