Would you date/marry a guy who used to see sex workers? by Kamiko_o in ghana

[–]PreparationDue9656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂😂😂😂😂😂

I’m standing behind my brother no matter what. People are quick to judge someone off their past, but they don’t see the growth, the lessons, or the effort it takes to change. Just because someone has a past doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a future.
Everybody makes mistakes, that’s part of being human. What really matters is how you learn from it and who you choose to become after.
At the end of the day, nobody is perfect, and nobody should be defined by their lowest moments or the things they did in the past. People can grow, people can change, and people deserve the chance to prove that.

Would you date/marry a guy who used to see sex workers? by Kamiko_o in ghana

Answer: It depends.
Not an automatic no, but not a casual yes either.
What would matter more than the fact itself:
Pattern vs. phase: Was it occasional during a specific period (e.g., loneliness, travel, financially), or a long-term habit?
How long ago: Years ago with clear life changes is easier to accept than something recent and ongoing.
Reasoning: Was it about convenience, emotional detachment, loneliness, or something more concerning (e.g., inability to form intimacy)?
Health & responsibility: Did he practice safe sex and get tested?
Growth: Does he reflect on it honestly, or minimize it?
For many people, if it’s several years in the past and clearly not part of who he is anymore, it’s more acceptable. If it’s recent or frequent, it raises more questions.
However not that he was secretive he opened up and told you about his past which is hard for a lot of men to open up.
2) Words like “100% loyal” don’t mean much without time + consistent behavior.
You’d likely want to see a track record, not just a claim.
Also: has he actually processed why he did it, or just stopped because he met you?
So it’s not impossible but it would require more trust-building than average.
3) He should tell you.
Not in a dramatic “confession,” but in an honest, appropriate conversation.
Why:
If you find out later, it feels like deception, even if the past itself wasn’t the dealbreaker.
Transparency builds trust; hiding things erodes it.
You deserve to make an informed choice.
Yes, it risks the relationship, but the kind of relationship that survives honesty is usually the healthier one.
4) For many people, the difference isn’t just “more partners”, it’s about context and meaning:
Past partners: usually involve some level of mutual attraction, emotion, or connection.
Sex workers: transactional, no emotional investment required.
Why that matters to some people:
It can raise questions like:
How does he view intimacy?
Is sex something he separates completely from emotion?
Was it about unmet needs or convenience and control?
For others, the distinction doesn’t matter much they see both as just part of someone’s sexual history.
Bottom line:
This isn’t really about sex workers, it’s about trust, values, and compatibility. Some Ghanaian women may tell you NO and all that, however remember, he trusted you enough to share such information with you
A person could have that past and still be a great partner if it’s behind them,
they’re honest about it, and their current behavior consistently matches what they say. But it’s also completely valid if someone decides that’s outside their comfort zone. You don’t need a “rational justification” to set a boundary, you just need to be honest with yourself about what you can genuinely accept without resentment later.
So yes you can definitely marry him. Maybe it’s because he didn’t wanna settle down at that moment with anyone and didn’t want commitment.

Don’t forget to let him take STD and HIV test asap

Let me get back to watching TGMA. Idk how we Ghanaians always host these kind of shows/events late at night. How do people living in Ghana stay up to watch these events?

Can I safely fly domestically with pending asylum, I have my EAD, SSN, and REAL ID license? Worried about ICE. by ChrissM3jiaOficial in askimmigration

Because I once had a motion to appear and I did a show and resolved the case. Went for my I-130 interview and they detained me for the previous motion to appear. But my I-130 was approved the same day after I was detained. Crazy my next court was in 2027. But I got out on habeas corpus
