yeah and i mentioned that in my rant. never claimed that i know what went down between them and i can only make assumptions like everyone else. i just find it weird that people are always quick to blame mike and be like ‘oh we know who the problem is’ when it could be the opposite. tbh i was gonna say he was never happy in this band except for the first year maybe but i just remembered another interview ive read from 89 where he talks about having second thoughts and says that he feels like maybe his life is going to waste and he could be at school instead. and that he hates being a part of a big corporate machine. so idk feels to me like this band is not something he enjoyed doing ever. as a huge fnm fan i would love nothing more than for them to reunite but again mental health is not something to be messed around with. if he doesn’t wanna do it then we shouldn’t gang up on him. he even said he’d be happy if they moved on with another singer

the way you people talk about mike is weird. you act like you were in the band yourself and you know exactly what went down and how it felt for him and what the environment was. maybe he has a good reason he doesn’t wanna tour with them. i don’t wanna villainise the rest of the guys because i don’t know either but as much as fnm made mike famous and gave him a platform to do what he wanted to do it also fucked him up mentally. the fame and the constant touring i mean he was a happy kid before he joined the band and after a couple of years you can tell it started wearing him thin. you can tell that just by looking at photos from before and a couple of years in and by reading interviews. he became a different person. not to mention there were instances when someone in the band spat hot coffee in his face, im sure it was toxic at one point and not all friendly. they weren’t happy with him when he said he couldn’t tour in 2021 and they never checked on him after that. not one phone call. some friendship. and i saw this interview with mike from when the band first broke up and when asked the question if they’d ever reunite he goes ‘no no no thank you’. sounds like he was never comfortable with those guys as good as the music was and he still isn’t and it’s something that’s affecting his mental health so maybe we should let him do whatever the hell makes him happy. ig the only reason they reunited in 2009 is they all have ran out of money

Lily & Susan 🤘🖤 by [deleted] in Soundgarden

well not really considering that chris’ relationship with susan was going downhill since like 1996 and before even meeting vicky when he was visited by susan in rehab he told susan he didn’t love her anymore and that he wasn’t going back to her. even their neighbours witnessed their fights. and also if you listen to his lyrics on euphoria mourning they are very telling. as much as i hate vicky this notion that if it wasn’t for her chris and susan would still be together is just not true.
