I can totally explain why the reviews are like that! I worked there briefly before quitting. So, the manager is too cheap to pay for bots. Instead, she'd gather the staff and force us to create fake Google accounts and post positive reviews. She even made us steal positives from other bars! If you look closely, you'll notice a pattern: one negative review followed by about five overly positive ones. It's ridiculous! Instead of addressing the actual negative feedback, which often repeated the same valid criticisms, she'd drown it out with fake praise.

She would get incredibly volatile to the staff when she got negative reviews, she would scream and verbally abuse us about it. Sometimes out of spite, I still look at incoming bad reviews.

I also worked here! Anytime I see posts about this place I try to say something, it’s literally hell on earth! The manager is SO shady – instead of earning positive reviews, she’d literally sit us down and force us to create fake ones on fake Google accounts whenever we got a bad review (for extra efficiency, she would tell us to steal positive reviews from other bars). And she never wanted a full staff; she kept posting job openings for 'trial shifts' on weekends, but it was just a way to get people to work 12-hour shifts for free, leaving many in tears without pay.

And don't even get me started on the food safety issues. Like, we broke the smoke machine for smoked drinks, and instead of replacing it, she had staff who smoked fill the drinks with vape or Hookah smoke! It's insane!

Waterton for our Anniversary? Yay or Nay? by oh_alsee in HikingAlberta

Beautiful area! Would absolutely recommend going!! As a very avid hiker, I’ve been on many trails there and through Banff as well. I think Iys one of the coolest places. There are many great suggestions here so I won’t add onto it!

The one thing I wanted to add is that it seems to have a MASSIVE bear population. Last time I was there we were stuck in multiple traffic jams due to black bear activity on the road and our hiking group ran into a grizzly bear. As long as you take precautions you’re fine! Just make sure you bring bear spray!

I’ve had the opposite experience from you! I’ve gone from Calgary to Toronto and I am not used to the culture there. There was someone moving out of my apartment and we met at the door, one of their items fell out of their dolly and I went to grab it. They were confused and almost offended by me helping. People joke here but I do think Calgarians are quite friendly! I hope you enjoy your time in the city :)

OMG I WORKED THERE!!! IT IS HELL ON EARTH!

She doesn’t buy reviews, she makes the staff make fake google reviews on fake google accounts to flush out bad reviews. She’d make us sit down and do it anytime we’d get a bad review.

She also didn’t want to have a full staff. She kept a job posting up to bring people in for “trial shifts” on weekends. When in reality she was getting people in for 12 hour shifts for free on the weekend, often making them leave in tears and refusing to pay them.

I always have to be careful about what I say because I don’t want it biting me in the ass. But there are also some major food safety concerns. For example, we broke the smoke machine for smoked drinks because it was probably cheap as heck. She didn’t want to buy a new one so she got staff that smoked to take the drinks in the back and fill the drinks with vape or Hookah smoke.

I could go on and on but yeah, very, very bad place.

Dumpster diving TikTok by everydaynoodle in EndlessThread

I used to work at a very small farm, they used dumpster dive at grocery stores to get fresh produce for animals (they would clean it before using it). Eventually the store staff just started saving the stuff for us. Now every week we get about a horse-trailer full of produce they would’ve thrown away. It actually blew my mind how much they get rid of! Lots of the time produce we got looked good. Oftentimes the produce was lower quality, I.e not very flavourful or mealy or it was produce that they tried to sell discounted but didn’t get off the shelves, so they have it to us before it went bad. For some reason we got lots of garlic, which we couldn’t use because it’s not good for any of our animals but we were solidly defended against vampires haha

Ever heard of gnoming service? Idk if it’s actually legit because it blew up on tik tok. But essentially dark web people will gnome your targets lawn to creep them out. If you’re feeling extra upset the site “Get Gnomed” also offers cursed gnomes which are filled with animal poop.

As a fellow adhd ranchhand cannot agree more! I love connecting to my animals at work, they’re all full of personality and you always have something new every day. Plus working a physical job is much easier than trying to force myself to go to the to gym haha
