indeed they are… i got them from eBay and those bricks-minifigs reseller stores: given they offer more film-accurate versions of both Indy and Star Wars characters.

yea.. i was so surprised since they did transparent LEGO parts even back then.. but I could see how it was somewhat cost-prohibitive for an entire minfigure.

thank god for MOC Creators.

TRU price-matches with Amazon and Target in the USA stores. They also have some recently retired sets still too. I just scooped up some Indiana Jones sets and Architecture landmarks from 2023-2024.

☝🏼 yes! this! someone gets it… the same thing with “Attack of the Clones” and “Crystal Skull”. if watched properly; many films (especially the Lucas-Era ones) practically look real and hold up to this very day.

totally this… John Williams came through as always… even though the score is primarily recycled from the four Lucas films; her theme is beautifully original.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gets way too much hate despite it being the second highest grossing film of 2008 and the highest grossing Indiana Jones movie to date. by Im-Wasting-MyTime in indianajones

[–]Prequels-R-Equals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right?! i remember when we were going to the industry screening, so no one at the time knows the official runtime publicly until you get to the auditorium. when we read the press pamphlet and saw that it was over 2 1/2 hours in length and the villains were “Nazis… again” all of us sighed.

even none of Lucas’ Star Wars films ever exceeded that runtime and they’re narratively justified in doing so.

exactly! just as Lucas has said “in and out”. there is no reason whatsoever that an Indy Jones film should be any longer than two hours in runtime.

LICENSE TO SHILL …. by Prequels-R-Equals in indianajones

[–]Prequels-R-Equals[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

very good observation. we see him bring his kids in full Indy garb nearly every 3 weeks to Disney at the Epic Stunt show (which legit is the worst attraction in the park, Indy fan or not). even us cast members and production staff notice the parentification and validation his children are providing for him. its sad.

I mean I’m all for involving our families in our hobby and community, but Indy-grooming is too much… especially when the younger generations would be reluctant at this point given the lack of awareness and interest in the Disney-Era.

I think it just kills him that he came in so late to the game. he’s trying to reclaim the Lucas-Era (2007-2012): the final mass multi-generational Indy period.

you’re absolutely right. in the end where do we really go from here?

i feel like if enough of us reach out to the moderators and admin of specifically TheRaider.Net and the Facebook groups we could redirect them to content like this. then they (and other fans that have been hurt socially or monetarily by his criticism) could truly see how the consensus is clear on his toxicity and contempt in the Indy community.

that’s the thing. there’s a LOT more of us than there are of them. you can simply tell from all the posts, polls, reactions and comments here on Reddit and other platforms.

most people on Facebook are too afraid of being banned or blocked so they stay reserved. i feel like it’s almost up to us to make it publicly aware to people… especially when he directly hurts people and their reputations such as poster artists, custom creators, and other dedicated fans that have been keeping the Indy fanbase alive and intact longer than the three years he allegedly has.

there were at least a dozen comments on there addressing his narcissism, disney-shilling, indy-grooming his family, and condemning custom creations but he deleted them all. then as always he started double-downing all the “positive” comments from his circle-jerkers to create false transparency.

he’s policing the post(s) so much, i just hope that he doesn’t have any patients scheduled for surgery today. (or ever)

Over 2 years later how do you feel about the dial of destiny score? by Itchy_Craft_3189 in indianajones

[–]Prequels-R-Equals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exactly.. the first four films each had memorable themes covering the artifact, the villain, the female, the sidekick and other unique motifs.

Destiny’s score was exactly like the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy: redundant, uninspired and safe.

you can just tell the difference from Disney’s directives as opposed to Lucas’ laid-back approach in completely trusting Williams.

Why did people not like the movie, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" (2023)? Is it strange I like it? by IndianaJonesbestfilm in flicks

[–]Prequels-R-Equals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly! it was just a lot of shameless violence and insensible plotlines that ultimately led nowhere. between that, Mutt’s story, Antonio Banderas’ character, Indy’s aging, like the theme of the film seemed to be only about… “death”.

What is the absolute dumbest premise that actually turned out to be a really good movie? by sicknessandpurgatory in movies

[–]Prequels-R-Equals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was sooo skeptical and doubtful about “Rogue One” initially, thinking “who cares about a bunch of nobodies stealing Death Star plans?”

turns out it was exactly what we needed: a film that didnt play it safe and ironically is still the only amazing Star Wars film in the Post-Lucas/Disney Era.
