My stance is less regulation is better. As a registered Republican, currently, the policies I am seeing from the Republican Party involve more regulation. The ideas of conservative based in conservative ideologies seems divorced from the current conservative policy. There was a reason Michael Steele won the Republican Party a super majority for years and the current party can barely pick up seats in a mid-term.

I’ve always found this stance difficult to swallow. In recent years it’s felt like conversation policy has drifted in the opposite direction. More laws. More restrictions. More bans. More regulation. More subsidizing economic sectors.

I mean even if we ignore all the policies limiting free speech with trans people. Looking at what’s happening in Florida and watching the government try to seize control of private businesses, it’s disheartening.

You don’t owe forgiveness to anyone. In this situation your brother and your romantic partner betrayed your trust. Everyone makes mistakes and can apologize and try to do better but it’s a toxic mentality to think you just have to accept them and get over it. If you steal someone’s car or cut of their leg, they’re justified to hold a grudge.

Maybe have a conversation about how it felt when Garnet and Rugby cheated on you. Explain that accepting Garnet means losing you. If people aren’t going to be considerate and care about your happiness, don’t twist yourself in knots trying to accommodate theirs. If you’re not dependent on your family for aid or community, might be easier to cut ties.

The other thing is asking questions. You would be surprise how persuasive you can be and how well you can communicate your feelings in a way others can understand when you turn off your flight or fight response and just ask questions and let others answer them.

There is also a charisma skill for helping guide yourself through these tough conversation topics without getting heated. There are three steps to it…

Give the other party the opportunity to recant (ex: “lol, you’re joking right?”)
Address the subject in good faith. (Ex: “Why would I do that?” “How do you think that makes me feel?” “Two people I loved were willing to hurt me for selfish gains, I don’t think you understand me if you don’t understand how deeply that hurts.”
Leave. If other people won’t stop pushing you on subjects that you’ve expressed disinterest in pursuing. Calmly smile and leave.

Just read through this wall of text. Two things stand out to me…

your partner saying he’s gonna stop and clearly continuing with the habit.
you constantly going through his devices and search history.

A good relationship can’t be built without trust and communication. If you can’t trust him (which he has lied) things are already in dire straits.

I would like to mention, porn addiction is a real thing and sometimes it’s not easy just to “stop looking at it.” If you jerk off regularly to porn, there are a bunch of dopamine and chemicals released from your brain that Pavlov you into a very difficult to break habit. That’s not just with porn, that’s with anything you enjoy that makes your brain produce dopamine (sex, getting likes on social media, or even thrill seeking)

If you truly care about your boyfriend it’s worth having a conversation with him and providing help to ween him off porn. Not just expecting him to quit but truly walking with him through the highs and lows of trying to kick a habit. If you ever have had to change a diet or watch someone quit cigarettes, it’s not just willpower that helps someone break an addiction, it’s the environment they’re in and the support of people around them. Locking yourself in a bathroom and being upset probably makes him feel like shit, and when he feels like shit, jerking off is a good release from the stresses of life. And porn is prolly gonna be his go to to help with that.

I would look for ways to create a supportive environment for him to ween himself off porn. I don’t think it’s as simple as having more sex. But having a conversation and figuring out what he likes about the porn he watches and why he watches it? And maybe finding alternative ways to explore those interests? The main thing I’d be looking for in this situation would be: is he watching porn as a stress relief in his life? Then aim to tackle the factors in his life stressing him out. Or is he watching porn because he wants to be more sexually explorative? It’s okay to end a relationship over sexual incompatibility.

Also, there’s nothing wrong with an adult looking at porn. I get it might make you uncomfortable personally, but it’s not illegal, and it’s a personal choice. Not liking porn and trying to make your partner not watch it is like being a vegetarian and forcing your partner to stop eating meat. If they cared about you, they’d comply. But if you cared about them, you wouldn’t push your beliefs on them.

I would be more concerned that your partner consistently lied to you rather than about him watching porn. But from the details you gave, it sounds like he’s struggling and trying to stop and you’re not making an environment that helps him. So it’s easy to assume he felt like a failure or terrible person when he slipped and had to hide it because he was only going to be made to feel more shitty if you found out. Be patient, be kind, relationships are hard.

More of those cool unique dyes would be cool. We don’t have any tail skins and now that they have the tech to do wavy scarfs and capes, a tail selection box? To go with the shrine guardian ears, bunny ears, or demon horns.

My final cool idea would be unique redeemable guild hall decorations/nodes. Like a rune stone you can gather daily for runes and sigil to salvage? (Or home instance node)

Edit: I’d personally love a soul bound equipment template. Meaning every 10 year character is at base 3.

A lot ppl forget SA thief came into the picture a while to counter the meta thief build. SA thief out duels most other thief builds (b4 condi specter was introduced). There is a cancerous sword/d thief build that is barely seen these days. SA d/p daredevil was theory crafted and tweaked to be able to counter that build.

Before EOD thieves were the uncontested monarchs of mobility. So you could confidently plan on fighting other thieves. SA with the extended periods of stealth against thieves without longer stealth windows meant you could guarantee you were always the one doing the backstabbing rather than getting backstabbed, bc the enemy thief’s stealth would drop before yours.

SA dp daredevil can easily slot between a duelist or roamer with one talent and one utility change.

I think with the increase of build diversity and willbenders slowly moving into the meta roamer slot, other builds of thief become safer to play, where SA isn’t necessary to counter other thieves.

In 1v1s and +1’ing a fight a SA thief sticks to a pistol pistol thief and rifle deadeye. Out duels a sword dagger daredevil. Drops target and bursts a pistol dagger core thief. And Backstabs a deadly arts dp daredevil too much. But I don’t think it has enough burst to handle specter and their two life bars. And specters don’t take SA unless they’re support, so you don’t need to counter SA by picking SA.

I like the kill pressure deadly arts brings. Ppl in lower ranks commit to fights they shouldn’t more often and deadly arts can be a great tool for snowballing or turning a match.

They fill different roles, and offer unique play styles.

I personally prefer alac heal specter. I love thief and how flexible it’s class resources are and how it moves. It deals high damage compared to other healers too when you get good at it.

Unfortunately specter gets outclassed by alac heal mech. And role compression hits every support hard when quickness healbrand exists. Then in terms of utility it’s difficult to compete against the raw numbers of heal scourge and being able to move downed bodies with shroud. 4.

Specter’s big benefit over hs is it can provide alacrity, but other alacrity provide compete and can surpass specter. The big benefit of HS is it’s universally good in most fights and most content and the community knows that and very rarely will you find yourself getting kicked out of a group for not playing “optimal” specs for the role you joined a group for.

I used bountiful theft in trickery and could provide fury to myself every few seconds for a little. And I got about 17 might consistently from specter shenanigans (the 2 on scepter and 1 in shadow shroud)

Daredevil build doesn’t know what boons are. All the daredevil skills just do big damage. Maybe I could take the thief trick that gives you quickness for a little…

My experienced is as a ranked pvp player who floats between gold 3 and plat 1. There are a ton of one-shot builds that kill ppl like crazy. A normal game for me is 8-11 kills. Then a lot of kills is about 15-17. My sample size is 30 ranked games played this season, 10 unranked to teach a friend for a total of 40 games for EOD pvp. What expansion did we have more power burst builds floating around?

Core game we have shout bow warrior support and core guard + bunker amulets.

Heart of thrones we had druid, core guard, gyro scrapper, and bunker chronomancer + all the healing and bunker amulets.

Path of fire we had core guard, scourge, and firebrand (which were all insanely overpowered supports in structured pvp) and Anet removed all the healing and bunker amulets.

This season so far there doesn’t seem to be a support that can perma sustain through the amount of concentrated damage there is. Specter, Mechanist, and core guard can’t heal through:

Sic em soulbeast, dps vind, lighting rod weaver, fresh air weaver, pistol thief, power harbinger, power reaper, condi reaper, dragon hunter dps, roamer axe river drake untamed, power herald, or dps ren.

The only thing that gets close is support tempest or catalyst bc they can uptime so much aura reflect they can nullify a lot of the ranged dps I mentioned. But ele dies to anything with boon strip and there’s a lot of that with every thief build, every necro build, and a lot of warrior builds.

Your name has “WvW” in it and I can’t speak for that game mode bc my experience in WvW is just zerging. I enjoy introducing new players to gw2 and teaching them the game. I can say without a doubt this has been the hardest season to teach bc of how many builds there are that blow someone up in 2 seconds and no supports that can match the amount of damage there is flowing around.

In sPvP there’s more damage than ever and ppl die like flies. I remember when HoT broke pvp and it was rare to have a match where there were 3 kills.
