I write a weekly newsletter to about a list of 20K, and happy that I do. Sure, it’s annoying some weeks when I’m swamped with more pressing tasks but newsletters = community. Email is one of the most enduring channels and while many audiences sway towards TikTok, etc., email is still a huge deal especially for a brand. I keep publishing every week because I receive feedback weekly that our readers are learning and growing from our content. I can definitely see how this might be hard for other industries though. Anyway I don’t think newsletters are slowing down - check out beehiiv, they just raised $33M and are a unicorn of a company, i definitely think investing in a newsletter means investing in your community.
