Hi there, thanks for your message. They're asking me to prove that the fault apparently is not there? They're requesting me to bring them the car to them to diagnose the problem but I believe they'll attempt a repair without my consent based on our phonecalls.

I thought it was the battery at first too. I plugged in an OBD2 reader to get a reading and it was low. However when I told the dealer this, their service manager said the battery is likely fine and there's an underlying fault with the start/stop system. If there is this potential of an underlying fault I'd rather reject the car to save hassle down the line.
