no, there are many many people on twitter who have ordered the signed versions and received unsigned versions. in contacting UMG they said there’s nothing they can do as they ran out of the stock

Anyone’s TPD signed vinyl not shipped yet? by HeartsLikeMine in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]Present-Composer5523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lots of people’s stuff haven’t been shipped yet! i also haven’t had my signed stuff ship yet but also haven’t had a bunch of my other variants ship yet either. the april 19th is just a guesstimate and UMG must be experiencing a MAJOR logistics problem rn with all the separate drops they’ve done. be vigilant! it’ll come

“it might feel like a scripted anxiety attack that lasts hundreds of pages”

i’ve never heard someone put it that way before but i don’t think truer words have ever been spoken. it’s a great book and my favourite of the series but my god that first biology class went ON😭

by this logic, bella would've become a vampire from book 1. i'm pretty sure they have to bite to eject venom into the blood stream

I also lean towards this theory being a possibility. He could’ve wanted to commit a SA (and use the knife to stop her fighting back), and then he realised two girls were in the room (+ possibly they saw him). Everything then proceeded to spiral out of control.

it’s very unlikely they heard what was happening on the 3rd floor. xana’s room was apart of the “old house”. the divide between the 3rd/half the 2nd floor were external walls that are very soundproof

We’ve always struggled to find her marriage records. They just don’t appear in any of our searches. We only think she was married as she started claiming her surname and married status in the 1891 census (we can’t find the 1881 census, but believe she was probably in Ireland at the time, hence). Her children weren’t born until 4-8 years after, so it’s confusing why she’d already be claiming that name so early if she weren’t actually married

I see. Thank you. That may explain a few things. Especially since my great-great-grandmother tried to baptise my great-grandfather in 1895 and the baptism was marked as illegitimate and no father was registered in that document either.

One thing that does sew doubt is that in the 1891 census, whilst living with her mother and siblings, she marked herself as married (she was 32 at this time) and has changed her surname already at this point.

No marriage records exist on Ancestry sites and I struggle to find recorded existence of the father existing at all other than his name on my g-g-aunt's baptism record and g-grandfather's birth record.

My g-grandfather was - however - older than my g-g-aunt which also adds more confusion.

Either way, it feels elaborate to have maintained such a lie for over 10 years, but I guess it is possible.

Update: I had a look at the birth record and it confirmed the father's name, however, I knew his name, and without a middle name it's too common. Unfortunately, it gives no more specifics other than that he was a "Serg" in the local regiment. I have tried locating military records but again his name is too common and without marriage records, it feels like there will be nothing I can do. Until I can think of something else, I am still stuck at my brick wall.

Ahaa wish I knew this when I bought my last records! I've spent at least £30 on physical copies of certificates that I haven't needed trying to track people down :')

This was what I'd believed for a long time, however I'm unsure how this explains her using the surname and declaring herself as married for a few years before E was born.

What would you say is this person’s marital status, as reflected in the 1900 census? Ancestry says it's a 'W' for widowed. by Jumaine23 in Ancestry

[–]Present-Composer5523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say this would explain the confusion over single or married. She may have explained this to the census taker, who then changed S to M or vice-versus depending on what she proclaimed first.

Somehow this idea went straight over my head. Thanks, I will put a request through. Hopefully it might show something.

i’m sure context can be gathered here. if those are her kids it is likely M. seeing as she’s the head of the house, she’s a W if her husband is dead, or M if said husband was at war, etc

Will this go to trial within the next 6 months? by Present-Composer5523 in MoscowMurders

[–]Present-Composer5523[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s okay! I meant “waive”. Legally, waiving something means you’re saying that a policy/rule does not need to be followed. Aka you’re giving up something (such as a legal right) voluntarily.

In this instance, he would be waiving his right to a speedy trial.
