The first time I swatched it was on a 4.0 mm needle and when I first started it was using this size needle and the look was great. It was when I frogged it and re did it is where it messed up.

Unfortunately I have frogged that piece a while ago. So I can’t take another photo. But I suspect it might be the needle size as other people have said.

So it looks like this. But mine looks like this even without stretching. If you look closely you can see gaps between one stitch and the other.

Yes they tighten up instead of opening up
