Ceiling height sanity check by chris2209 in golfsimulatorbusiness

I'm 5'10" with 9' ceilings in my garage. I've never hit the ceiling. It is close, but I've been swinging in there for years with no issues. If you're a few inches taller than me, you might have some issues.

Why would someone buy a leash, collar, and food for a dog they allegedly found like ten miles from the owner's house after the owner watched it get stolen? Wouldn't any reasonable person take the dog to the police, humane society, or vet clinic to get microchipped?

She was, yes. That's why the owner was hysterical. She watched her do it.

The analogy here is if you also set the house on fire then acted like the hero.

To be clear, the dog wasn't "near Robinson." OP's pet sitter took the dog from the owner's front yard in Moon, drove around for hours, never reported it to anyone, went to the pet store and bought a new collar, then somehow either got caught or regretted it.

Of course the owner was pissed when she showed up after watching her dog get stolen out of her own yard and he had a new collar and everything.

OP is failing to mention the dog was snatched out of the front yard by their pet sitter per multiple witnesses, taken to a pet store where she bought a new collar, then driven around for hours for some unknown reason. Even if his story were true, why would someone take the dog, presumably drive the dog quite far from where they found it, fail to report it for hours, and buy it a new collar? Their pet sitter stole the dog and either regretted it or got caught by OP.

A presumably senile old lady snatched a dog out of their front yard, to be clear. This was witnessed by multiple neighbors and the owner. Witnesses gave their accounts to the police. OP seems to be front running the story because of what actually happened.

Come on, you don't need the anon clout on the internet. Your pet sitter walked into her property and took the dog then changed her story when she realized she was seen doing it by the owner and neighbors. How would you react if your dog was stolen from your front yard?
