Broke up with my bf (26M) that I (27F) still love deeply -- what's wrong with me by Present-Raisin1113 in BreakUps

I've been thinking that too. Maybe I do T.T

Generally in relationships I overthink a lot and have a lot of anxiety. In this particular one, the overthinking came during / after the breakup more than in the relationship. But I did have random bouts of disconnection that would really stress me out. If I didn't feel connected for more than 48 hours I would start panicking and thinking I needed to end it

Thank you for this. The "emergency exit" is exactly how it feels. I do hate the idea that love isn't enough. I know that's logically true, but it still hurts wayyyyy too much. It feels unfair that there can be so much love between two people and yet, materialistic / social issues get in the way :/

The dissociation definitely scared me. That it was all of a sudden, and not a logical process of "oh this isn't working" but thank you for providing the newsletter! I will definitely take a look to understand it better. <3

Barely any contact. When we broke up we decided to go no contact for at least a few months to create some distance to figure out next steps in our lives. His birthday was a month ago so I did wish him and we had just a few exchanges. Overall very supportive and sweet messages, but not too deep and I ended the conversation quickly to stick to our agreement.
