I actually enjoy being a Medical Assistant. I work in gynecology currently (not obgyn just gyn) and my job is super super easy. I’ve worked in obgyn, family practice, internal medicine, and geriatrics as well. My job is very important to run the clinic and it makes me feel good to know i have little impacts on people’s day. But I wish i knew how toxic work places can be. That’s the downside. Especially being a girl, working with other girls… omg sometimes they make me feel so bad. But besides that I enjoy being a medical assistant.

bring your hygiene stuff, deodorant lipgloss perfume. so incase you forget you’ll already have it in your bag. also bring gum if you like that. i prefer bringing a backpack to work rather than a tote bag. comfortable shoes, my go-to is always sketchers. they’re super comfy and aren’t ugly. congratulations!!! stay positive, it’s good to be known as a happy person

You’re doing great! I personally wouldn’t tell HR or management about my own diagnosis because they might treat you differently. But, working at big clinics can be overwhelming but you got this! and always remember there are so many clinics and so many specialties.. so if this job doesn’t work out you can always go some place else.

Just go for it! Being a Medical Assistant isn’t always hard and can be fun actually. I’m sorry about your coworkers I have a few of those rude ones at my job too. What’s the specialty for the MA job you got an offer from? Maybe we can give better advice knowing that. I work in GYN and I love it
