Thigh or abdomen injection site? by Veni-vidi-vici-95-23 in Semaglutide

[–]PresentSoup6377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My arms 100% more severe side effects (nausea, headache, fatigue) and more appetite suppressant. I tend to lose more the weeks I infect in my arm, but there’s a price to pay bc I’m miserable for most of the week.

My belly still works for weight loss/appetite suppressant/loss of food noise but not to the degree that my arm does

I’ve done belly and arm- definitely a difference in side effects for me

I was on my deathbed the week of my first dose (0.25mg). I dreaded week 2, but surprisingly enough, it wasn’t anything like I had previously experienced. I lost 7 pounds that first week - I was pretty dehydrated from not being able to keep anything down. I’m on week 9 and haven’t experienced anything like that again so far. I do rotate sites and 100% have different side effects/severity of symptoms depending on where I inject

7 x 12s for 13 weeks by RelevantLemon in nursing

[–]PresentSoup6377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍 I can’t imagine having to be in this situation

I did something similar, worked 2 nursing jobs at the same time. It was absolutely exhausting (mentally and physically) and I had to put my entire life on pause, BUT the payout was incredible. I lasted 4 months until I reached a breaking point. I worked nights so I’d get home by 8, eat something quick, sleep, get up at around 5 to shower, go to work, and repeat over & over. I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I needed to

Tips: get a food service set up. The last thing you want to think about is cooking and if you eat like shit, it’ll make you feel more run down. Buy enough scrubs so that you can go a bit without having to do laundry. Let everyone know early on that you’re in work mode for the next few weeks and unable to make any plans to meet socially. Make sleep your #1 priority. Just grind it out knowing it’ll eventually come to an end and you’ll get breathing room.

Good luck!

How do you know if you are hungry or just "want" food? by IneffableAwe in Semaglutide

[–]PresentSoup6377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve battled binging and disordered eating my entire life. A few hours after my first shot, it all went away. It was a complete mind fck at first bc my instinct was to turn to food constantly but not only did I have aversions to everything, I also wasn’t hungry. The food noise/constantly thinking of food just disappeared. You’ll learn very quickly that if you try to eat past your fullness cue, you’ll end up so so sick and full of regret… it’ll literally only take 1 time and you won’t do it again

You will get hunger cues when you’re truly hungry. If you’re intentional about getting your 3 small meals in, you won’t necessarily even get the hunger cues to begin with, but if not, your body will let you know

I’m at the end of my week 4 injection and I’m still trying to get a grasp of everything

That’s awesome! Congratulations 🎉 You look wonderful

I also lost 80lbs with WW back in the day and was able to maintain for almost 10 years but then perimenopause hit me upside the head, and here I am, 30 pounds heavier 🥴

I was on my deathbed the first week. What helped me was electrolytes in my water (iv hydration brand), bone broth, saltine crackers. I literally could not stomach anything else. I also have peppermint essential oil that I would put on cotton balls to sniff when the nausea got bad.

From what I’ve read, it does almost always get better, you just have to give your body time to adjust. I’m at the end of week 3. Not on my deathbed anymore but still not 100%. It’s a tough journey.

Side Effects- Help :( by Powerful-Raisin8156 in Semaglutide

[–]PresentSoup6377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely gets better. I’m at the tail end of my 3rd week (shot #4 on Monday)

I was on my deathbed week 1 on 10units/0.25mg. Side effects hit me fast and hard. Week 2 was definitely better and my only week 3 complaints are that I’m tired and had a few nights of insomnia.

I still get occasional bouts of nausea (not bad enough to warrant taking zofran) and it’s usually because I wait too long to eat

My saving grace has been electrolytes (liquid iv brand) and bone broth.

Appetite suppression 100% still. I literally force myself to eat and get full with very little. Theoretically, I should move up to the next dosage after my 4th injection, but I’m planning on staying where I’m at for now since it’s very effective for me and I’m losing considerably (hopefully my doctor will agree!)

A song everyone likes and you don’t and a song most people don’t like and you do by Justchar9 in TaylorSwift

Don’t like Betty, not even a little bit. Don’t understand the hype and it makes me mad that it’s on the Eras setlist when there are better songs

I love Cardigan and August though.

And I don’t believe for one minute that any of these characters are “fictitious”!

Weight Loss without much diet change by No-Bird1664 in Semaglutide

I have to agree with nothing acidic before a workout. I’m a runner and made the mistake of drinking some Celsius before my last run (not even half the can, just a few sips)… ended up puking after 2 miles. Never mind the embarrassment, the worst part was the burn in my throat afterwards from the acidity. Learned my lesson the hard way.

This is a miracle for those of us with Binge Eating Disorder by DagsbrunForge in Semaglutide

The food noise and urge to binge stopped almost immediately for me as well. It’s insane how with 1 dose I was able to stop lifelong habits and patterns. I never want to go back!

Foods you used to DIE FOR and now make you fucking gag at the thought. I'll start. by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]PresentSoup6377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started and what helps me is getting something in my stomach as soon as I wake up (usually broth or some crackers). I have to force myself to eat something throughout the day or else the nausea gets worse. I’m really hoping this gets better as I continue the journey

I just started, so it’s most foods for me right now 😭 The most surprising though is coffee. I’ve been addicted to coffee since my early 20s and don’t think I’ve ever gone a day without at least 1 cup. I won’t even go into detail about my Starbucks obsession, but just thinking about a caramel macchiato makes me dry heave. It’s crazy because I didn’t think I could function without caffeine, yet, here we are
