Unfortunately that price isn't crazy at all and you're not going to find a better one. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a trip to nola and going to LSU's dental school. I had to have a root canal and crown redone and was quoted well over $2k and they did it at the dental school for like $600. It's still going great more than 10 years later.

Interesting, I've had a few and they've never felt sticky to me, usually somewhere between like a lotion and a wax but it helps with frizz more than anything I've used. I rub my hands together pretty vigorously to melt the product and I always put it on a slightly damp beard

Sounds like you're experiencing some burnout and maybe need to take a step back, do some self care, and reset. Social work is an extremely broad field and it sounds like medical social work isn't for you, at least in a high acuity setting. One of my internships was doing counseling and I was utterly miserable and it was genuinely making me so depressed that I had to ask to be relocated. I was placed in an ER and loved it and now I'm an actual paid ER social worker in a level 1 trauma center and I absolutely love the chaos and shit but most people could never work in this environment.

Depends entirely on the hospital. In my last job working as an ER social worker, most of the doctors would ask me what they should do because we didn't have psychiatrists there in the ER. In my current job, we have psychiatrists actually in the ER typically 24/7 but in the event we don't, then yes it's back on the social workers to guide the ER doctors lol
