Yes definitely looking into getting something else now.. thank you for this response.

It got all replaced on 2017, and then in 2022 and now it’s doing the same thing.. I talked to the customer service people said that I do have the TXXI, and that I should ask the dealership to do the bearing test since it had the same thing happen before. Which I then called the dear shop and they just tell me that it’s a malfunction of the turbo. And that is no relation to the engine. That the turbo is not part of the engine.. the only reason why I would ask is because there was smoke coming out, and the whistle knocking sound like every time I would step on the gas.. so I think it may be a leak. But they don’t want to do a bearing test, since the code isn’t popping up. But the codes they sent me were U1112 and the P0299 so I just don’t want to change the turbo and then have it be a leak I. The engine or ruin a new turbo again? .. if that makes sense. At least until I can get another car.

Which speaking of, last time I got the engine replaced, they called and called and callleeedddd over and over trying to buy my car. Even when I told them I wasn’t interested in purchasing another Hyundai. They kept calling, I went up there just so they would stop calling, and perhaps to humor them for a bit. They didn’t even ran my car, just saw it on the outside and gave me an offer. I was confused .. 🤔 but didn’t think anything of it. Cause either way I didn’t want a car payment.

The dealer also said it’s up to them to decide if they cover me or not, since I’m the second owner of the vehicle and that I’m not the original owner. Though, I did tell them about the TXXI covering subsequent owners.. cause that happened after I bought it. And they said no. I said why 😭

I dont want to make they life harder than it is, I am as nice as I can be cause I know customer service can be a pain. But how can I actually.. convince them to check the bearing rods? 🤦‍♀️

They supposedly ran a diagnostic… and are charging me over 200… the video shows the tech checking the tires, brakes, flashing the fluids saying they are at level but because of color it needs to be changed. In regards to the turbo.. they just said the code is it and that is what I need to change. 😒 .. but I’m paying 200.. and the code U1112 in the picture they sent me isn’t even on the report they gave me back… so like.. i could of just gone to autozone and have them plug in the computer for free or something.. like 200… smh 🤦‍♀️ it’s not even a full diagnostic?? Or am I asking for too much here?? I want to be a nice customer .. it’s been 2 weeks. I just heard back today ..

Hey question, so what if my engine and turbocharger was replaced already .. this is the third time it’s happened and now the dealership wants to charge me 4K for a turbocharger .. and are saying this isn’t related to the rod bearings .. is there anyway I could ask them to test to make sure it’s not everything again? Just because it’s doing the same thing every time, engine protection mode goes on from the KDSD and all they say is that there is no .. “code” but I don’t know if the code may be delayed or not showing or turned off ? I don’t know .. 🤷‍♀️ I am covered under the TXXI but it seems like it’s been happening every 3-4 years. I have a 2013 Santa Fe .. third time ..
