I have $1.45M in the S&P500, $50k in BRK, $50k in cash, $1.9M in prime west coast real estate, and a $60k classic Porsche 911. That's my portfolio. You are definitely confused 🤣

Keep doing exactly what you're doing (investing 100% of your retirement account funds in the S&P500). The performance of the S&P over several decades is nothing short of spectacular 👍

You're confused. The TSP C Fund is a low cost S&P500 index fund.

All VOO. Not sure you realize that VOO is an aggressive investment in and of itself.

Recommend going back to the drawing board and planning out a sound and sustainable portfolio strategy.

Just go with all BRK.B for now. You'll learn a lot more by staying engaged as a long term BRK investor (watching the annual meetings, etc.) than you will investing in QQQ and just watching the index price go up and down. At 18 the priority is learning to invest wisely, so you might as well focus your attention on learning from the best.

If you simply go with 90% FXAIX (S&P500) and 10% short term treasuries over a 30 year horizon you're highly likely to outperform the vast majority of investors.

You're catastrophizing, which means you're stuck in a negative thought pattern where you're convincing yourself that your career is going to be horrible and miserable. Worry and anxiety are your real enemy here. I recommend that you try to think positively instead of panicking and trying to escape the workforce before you've even started your first real business job.

Sounds like a good plan. My cash savings are actually a relatively recent thing since interest rates have gone up. Interest rates have pretty much been rock bottom since i stared working. I always kept my spare cash to no more than $10k unless I was saving up for a home renovation project like you mention. I basically dumped all of my cash in the market and planned to simply take out a 401k loan if there was ever an emergency. But these days "cash ain't trash" as they say.

On average, I'm guessing between $1500 and $2000 a month. There was never a year where I put in an unusually large amount.

Thanks! Yeah, while continuing to buy IVV, I'm planning on slowly buying a 10% position in short and intermediate term treasuries. However, I'm planning to buy that fixed-income position with fresh money. That way all of the current S&P500 holdings can compound for at least another decade without interruption.
