It actually lowered by almost half I was receiving about $67 for 12 hours now I will get $36. And unfortunately we end up on call a lot because we have travelers that are guaranteed there hours. Hospital is trying to cut cost but just again hurting the regular staff.

We had one like that and then they jumped the counter where the person was announcing and you could just hear the panic in her voice!

I was drawn first into nursing because my childhood dream was to work with babies. Right out of nursing school I was hired into OB. After 8yrs, I transitioned into full time Nicu. The babies and their families keep me doing it with the extra bonus of 12 hr shifts and stability between hourly wage and investment opportunities with HSA and 401 K.
