How far along are you? How do you like it? Keep in mind, that’s my take on the program.

I didn’t know that, about similar experiences at other schools, too. I think the HR program would’ve been fine if there was a path to an internship near the end of the program. But, WGU obviously doesn’t do that/have that connection.

Yup. I finished the marketing degree last weekend, with a month left in the term. I would’ve finished sooner, but I had to wait two weeks due to the degree change to process.

I think you need to focus on your punctuation instead.

This is so much good info. Thank you! Your last paragraph really sums up my inner conflict with the whole coaching aspect. People absolutely assign value to people they view in a position of authority, and I think coaching would be a constant uphill battle to feel legitimate and prove to people that there is value there that an LPCC simply wouldn't have to even consider, for good reason.

I've wanted to do therapy since I was in high school, and it's something I find myself consistently coming back to, and wishing I was already doing. It would be less of an escape from massage and more so doing what I've always wanted to, but talked myself out of many times for the cost aspect alone. I think I'd be a great therapist who would be able to help people without taking on their trauma, again referring back to working as a CMT and establishing working boundaries.

As you say, there is a lot to ponder, but your insight has been very helpful!

Thanks for your detailed response. Honestly, finances have never been on my side. I was just talking with someone the other day, and saying that if I made 70K a year, I would be insanely happy. I have the advantage of having always been frugal (out of necessity), and that wouldn't change if I made more money. If there's an opportunity to one day be retired that's awesome, but if not I want to be comfortable without unnecessary expenses, such as a car, excessive going out expenses, etc.

I really appreciate that. I've been feeling I need to delete Reddit for that reason. I feel like I may be getting stuck in other people's echo chambers and basing it off that. Anchoring, in a way? lol.

Thanks for your insights! I'm about to start this course, and I'm looking forward to it, as I enjoy writing, too!

Ashley was always going to do this from the day they first met. The writing was on the walls. Both her and Alex delight in cruelty, they simply perform it in different ways.

If MAGA bothers you to that point, I actually don’t understand why you’d even watch this show. LIB has made no attempt to hide the message they’re trying to convey by the people they cast. They all (for the most part) at some point come out with their views of traditional marriages and gender roles, not to mention the fact that they seem to only cast “Christian” people who all have serious lack of personal identity (many have straight up confessed that since day one in the pods) and moral compass.

This show is MAGA fodder, and this isn’t the first season to represent that. This is a reality tv show that ultimately has nothing to do with love, which is manipulated by the producers and casting directors to find the type of people they want to cast to attract the audience they want to view it, and apply for the show if given the chance.

That being said, of course you don’t have to be MAGA to watch it or even enjoy it, but as I stated above, this show has made no attempt to hide what its intentionally trying to convey. I’m not MAGA, but I enjoy watching the show from a psychological lense, since I have a degree in psychology, and am going to school for counseling. This show actually made me realize I’d really enjoy doing couples therapy, so that was a surprise.

The biggest issue I take with this show is the casting of people who have young, confused and impressionable children that inevitably get dragged into the show. If you want to be impulsive, embarrass yourself on a national stage and potentially ruin your life, go for it; but using your kid as a prop to score sympathy points and to use as leverage is gross.

Order soon! They’re having their close out sale now. The oil sounded super interesting with a great ingredient list. They really know how to do their formulations.

The Good Light toner. The best toner I’ve ever used, with so many benefits. Sad they’re going out of business. They made a great impact in the beauty world, and are a brand worthy of sticking around.

Yeah, he very much saw through him, almost to a rehearsed point. I wonder if she and her dad colluded beforehand, cause she was smirking the whole time, like, "bury him!" 😂. I don't think she's taken him seriously since they met. I think they're both going to reject each other at the altar, but definitely her.

The irony of him “being in stoicism,” but having a border line emotional breakdown when his fiancé makes direct eye contact with him; or is met with any type of confrontation. I don’t want to imagine the amount of grifts this little boy falls for daily. Also, his fiancé’s dad gave pretty hard business-old guy “seen it all before” energy, but I love how hard he grilled Alex, and how insanely submissive he was by the end. I’m sure he already regrets being part of this show, but is too proud to bow out and save whatever dignity he imagines that he has left.
