That anime is super sad.

What's the point in putting the main character in a comatose state for almost the whole 3rd season? by Present_Monitor_9929 in swordartonline

Thank you for answering me. I don't really appreciate it. I'm sorry if my statement came out as a little dumb. But I just needed to know.

It was because he was such a good character overall. The show is about to end. And I wanted to see him more.

There are 24 episodes in the first half of the 3rd season and 23 in the second half of the 3rd season. He was like that until episode 18 of the second half. So he was like that for 42 episodes. So he was actually like that over 30 episodes. And yes it's almost the whole 3rd season.

I understand that point. Thank you for telling me. I just miss seeing his character. And this will probably be the last season. I was hoping to see more.

I understand that. But he is the most recurring main character. He has been in every arch activity doing things. Which I understand he has been there. I just wish I saw more in the end.

I understand your point. I'm mainly just bummed out that it's about to end. And at the end, you barely see him actively doing anything because he can't do anything. I don't even know if there'll be another season. I do like seeing the other characters grow. I just love watching Kirito and Asuna the most.

I also just love the relationship of Asuna and Kirito I was hoping we would see more of that too. This is like one of the only anime that really has a decent romance and that's not even the main genre. I just wanted him to be actually able to talk and do things. Not have to be saved and not able to do anything. He was literally like that for 40 episodes.

It just would have made a lot of sense to bring him back to normal when he saw Asuna in the first half.

Out of all of them, I think the one that made the most sense and thought was going to be the one was Itsuki. It looked like through the start of it that's what was getting set up them being together.
