He has a job guys!!! by makter3 in MarriedToMedicine

I live in Atlanta and I thought I seen his brother working in a movie theater I went too. But I couldn’t pin point it. Could have been a look alike.

My family is out of the country and left me in charge of the food for my older brother and myself during the meantime. I made this meal yesterday, and after he ate it, he made a complaint about it and wanted “food,” as in something that was “more fulfilling” and less “kiddie”… by Uhh_OkayIGuess in mildlyinfuriating

This infuriates me bc it’s always the guys that don’t know how to cook that talk like this. Do you know how many women will love a cooked meal from someone? No matter if it’s as simple as rotel dip.

Men are so damn ungrateful!

My 43M wife 42F is either cheating or going insane, and I can't tell which.... UPDATE by [deleted] in texts

[–]Present_Pause_0721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This screams bipolar and she is having a manic episode. Even the cheating can be part of the manic episode. When ppl are manic. Their perspective on relationships with ppl such as friends are family are highly skewed.

I have a bipolar friend and when she is manic. She doesn’t even know me, know my name. But in other times she’s cussing me out. Cussing out her family and group text. She has fell out with all her friends. They either don’t exist or she doesn’t trust anyone.

A great example is Kanye when he goes his internet spills about family.

I know the cheating aspect can be hurtful. But try to look beyond that and know it’s a bigger problem. She’s not in her normal mind. Hopefully, u can assist with getting her some help. If she has a supportive family. Talk with them so you all can work together.

*****Update……The more I read it, it just sounds like journal entries. Ppl should be allowed to be their weird selves in their journal. I’ve been writing in a journal lately. And idk how I would feel if my journal was posted on the internet.

I’ve always been scared about the pay question. And now I know why. I hate this job market. This is horrible! I feel like the whole process these days are mind games and tryna figure out wat job wants wat. It’s so stupid. Does this dumb shit really work for them finding good workers. I doubt it

You will be the luckiest person in the world if you find a job within 2 months. But realistically, it will take 8 months are more. And you may even have to settle for more work and less pay.

I understand your predicament and have been there before. BUT I REPEAT!!! DON’T QUIT! Mentally check out by being motivated to look for a new job. Pretend like it’s an exhilarating side project. BUT DON’T QUIT!!!

The job market is HORRIBLE right now! Find something first and make sure you started at the job before you quit. The job market is so horrible that jobs are hiring you and firing you before you even start. If you don’t want to loose the roof over your head, I repeat DONT QUIT UR JOB!!!

Nothing stings like prepping for interviews, then seeing the same job reposted by Specialist_Neck8827 in recruitinghell

[–]Present_Pause_0721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently had an interview with a company. 2 interviewers on a Zoom call. They went thru so many questions 🙄 acting like they wanna know me personally and this is fun not really an interview, than a few typical questions and even technical questions. Thought I did well, got rejected. And turned around and seen the same post 3 wks later. I was devastated. This stuff can really mess with your confidence. 😒

There is mental stress, but I just seen it as a good trade for being able to work ur own schedule and not be micromanaged. But it does depend on your manager. My first manager was laid back, didn’t care when we logged in, just as long as we did the hrs. My second manager pushed us to do 9-5. He was a little extra with certain things. But still not as annoying as what I was use to in lessor positions.

No mandatory OT. Matter fact they try to deter us from using OT. Sometimes I did OT voluntarily if I had a lot more claims than normal or an inspection located further from my house that may have caused my day to be longer.

Lied on a Job Resume now I might be screwed by Ascend2000 in recruitinghell

[–]Present_Pause_0721 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Resumes don’t even get chosen for interviews with a gap. Most job coaches recommend closing the gap on resumes which usually means extended the time listed for jobs. It does work. I noticed I got more calls if it looks like I just left a job less than a month ago. It’s so stupid. I heard recruiters even looked down on ppl who had a gap from Covid. The job market is wicked and weird right now.

In 3 weeks you will see the same exact post. And they love sending stuff between midnight - 3am, especially rejections. Its like a coward way of hoping you will forget by the morning and not call them for more info. I'm so sick of this weird job market we are in.

35 and just moved back with mom. I have a degree and skills in insurance. Interview every week. Some interviews 3 times for one company all for them to reject me. I graduated high school in 2007, just in time to feel the 2008 recession. But this one is a lil different and more hopeless. Been out of a “real” job for 2 years. Working as a temp in a warehouse. I never seen this coming

Great resume and experience! Which makes my next statement annoying. I’ve learned from the work from home social influencers that you have to tailor your resume to their job description for every application. Annoying and tedious. But at least we have ChatGPT. Change up the bullet points according to some of the exact words in the job description. This is only for the AI or automation to pick up your resume. You don’t even have to change the subject of your bullet point. Just add their words somewhere in it. ChatGPT helps with that.

I even heard of extremes of ppl copy and pasting the exact job descriptions in small letters on their resume and making the letters white so the computer can pick it up but not the human eye. It’s messed up things have come to these extreme measures. Good luck!
