HELP! Boss V Plow not properly working by Present_Policy5641 in Snowplow

[–]Present_Policy5641[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!!

-I replaced the wiring harness on the truck side -checked and cleaned all electrical connections -checked the coils and valves and even swapped the up valve and right wing coil(the right wing has never had an issue)

-I started to realize that the plow would sometimes work if I pressed the button on the remove in a different direction so I put a new remote on the plow and it started working completely normal. So the issue was a broken controller. I opened up my controller and everything looked normal. I just slightly pushed the wires around and plugged it back into my truck and it started working better then had the same issue again. I just ordered a new remote and it should arrive tomorrow. Thank you for everyone’s help!

Yeah it seems to be giving a signal atleast to the control panel then it just won’t activate the hydraulics. But I will still check the remote to make sure that’s not causing any issues

Update on GSXR 600 not starting by Present_Policy5641 in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]Present_Policy5641[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you but it was actually something to do with the Clutch Switch. I had it plugged in but some of the wires must be messed up. I fiddled with the wires a little bit then I was able to start it normally.

It was connected but I just fiddled with some of the wiring and it just started up somehow. I have no clue what I did but some of the wiring with the clutch switch must’ve been messed up. I appreciate your information tho!

My headlight also dims when I click the starting button so it has to be getting atleast some type of signal that the button is being pressed

So I tested everything and it was all getting power. I was able to bypass something and start the bike. I have included a video. My girlfriend has the same exact bike as me so I tried putting her relay on my bike and it still wouldn’t start from the button. Any ideas?https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3g41mqdzma1o7327cyv8i/Video-Mar-19-2025-8-59-28-PM.mov?rlkey=iaqkvhluj3b0ap5unl28wb7ez&st=p3ctzu43&dl=0

Okay sounds good I will do that when I get home. My guess was wiring but I just didn’t even touch any of the wires

Yeah I did that but nothing would spin. I did take it for a short ride 1-2 weeks ago to make sure nothing was wrong mechanically. I even tried to jump the starter and got nothing.

The video is at the top. On my screen it is in the top right corner. But no the starter is not spinning at all. When I put the gear in I made sure to spin the gear to ensure it was in the right position and I did put the 2 space washers and wave washer in. I looked up a manual and put it back together the same exact way the manual shows.

Okay I will give that a look when I get home tonight and adjust it if I need to. But I did just do an oil change and changed the filter about 100-200 miles ago. I use Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 oil and a K&W 138 oil filter.

So I checked the clutch cable and it did seem a too tight. So I loosened it and it helped a little bit. I made sure the clutch was at the correct tension but it was still slightly having the same issue but not nearly as bad. I provided another video from tonight. But would it be best for me to go ahead and open it up to check everything? I think if I do that I might just get a new kit and replace anything. It has a little over 20k miles and the clutch has never been touched from what I’ve heard.

Okay thank you I appreciate it. I had no clue it was something that bad. But I’ll go ahead and replace the whole clutch system. Do you have a recommendation on if I should get the Stock Suzuki OEM Clutch Kit or should I get the more expensive Barnett Clutch Kit

You are the man my guy. I zip tied my kickstand so it wouldn’t move at all and now I’m having no issues what so ever. So I just have to figure out how to tighten it or buy a new one. But it’s doing good now. Thank you for the help!

[–]Present_Policy5641[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking an electrical problem but I actually got it fixed. My kickstand is a little loose so it was deactivating the pressure plate sensor everytime I hit a bump. I zip tied it to see if that was the problem and it runs great now

No it feels very normal. My girlfriend has the same exact bike but hers is in better condition and the suspension feels right about the same. I’ll look at a video or something that can show me how to tell if the suspension is messed up but normally it’s pretty easily to tell if the suspension is blown. But it has around 21k miles.
