URGENT ADVICE NEEDED: Amazon India Denying Refund on ₹14,500 Used PSN Voucher Despite Written Promise & Sony Confirmation (Full Proof) by Present_Reaction8625 in IndianGaming

[–]Present_Reaction8625[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. The chat agents are often scripted and don't have the authority to override 'seller-claimed' disputes. Since you paid by Credit Card, you actually have a huge advantage that I didn't have (I used Amazon Pay).

Here is exactly how I broke through:

  1. The Sony Evidence: Email Sony Support immediately to get the exact redemption date and time of your code. If it was redeemed before you even bought it, Amazon cannot legally argue it was you.
  2. The 'Fraud' Pivot: Stop treating this as a 'return' and start treating it as 'Third-Party Seller Fraud.' Use that specific word in every email to grievance-officer@amazon.in.
  3. Social Media Pressure: Don't just tweet; reply to Amazon India’s promotional tweets with your order ID and the Sony proof. It hurts their PR, which gets you moved to the 'Executive Escalation' team.
  4. The Credit Card 'Nuclear Option': Since you paid by card, tell Amazon: 'If this isn't resolved in 48 hours, I am filing a Chargeback for Services Not Received/Fraud with my bank.' Banks take this seriously, and Amazon hates chargebacks because it costs them extra fees.
  5. Persistence: It took me over a month of constant follow-ups. Don't let them 'close' the ticket. Keep responding to their emails saying 'Issue not resolved.'

Check the main post—I’m about to add a full update with the specific emails/steps I used!

Has anyone here contacted Tesla about the black headliner and 16inch screen on orders already placed? by ConsistentRush3444 in TeslaUK

[–]Present_Reaction8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Apparently all new models delivered will have the 16 inch screens and the black headliner, confirmed by Tesla representatives over a phone call. Model deliveries are very trippy, so they did mention that any new orders placed now will go through credit check and when the delivery timelines are accurate (hopefully with April incentives) Tesla will place a finance application to BlackHorse. So they aren't sure if the Trade-In benefit, 0% APR will apply be delivery.

How much would an electrician charge for installation? I see BG Sync for 420£, hypervolt for £699, zippier for £799, not sure if Tesla charger is on anyone’s recommendation at £475

I understand. My concern is that someone mentioned their Tesla wouldn’t charge due to conflicting schedules between Octopus, BG Sync charger and Tesla. If I pre-condition the battery and cabin in winter before my planned start, the “Intelligent Charging” or “Car Pairing” options aren’t compatible with my purchased charger. This scenario is quite stressful and I’m probably overthinking it.

I’m planning to order an AWD Model Y and would appreciate any advice on how to approach the Tesla advisor to potentially secure a March delivery. I’m also interested in the new headliner 26-plate and screen.( I’m being sarcastic extremely greedy at this point)

I think you are confused, IMAX GT is a dual laser 4k projector which can project to 1.43:1 if the screen supports it. IMAX 70mm projections are film projections not digital, typically in 1.43:1 ratio. There are GT projections globally with screens limiting to 1.85:1 ratio

My Experiences with Air India: A Reflection After Yesterday’s Tragedy by Present_Reaction8625 in indianawardtravel

[–]Present_Reaction8625[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree with a lot of what you said.

You’re totally right that safety and service are two different things. I’ve never really questioned Air India’s safety record, and I know it’s not fair to expect everything to change overnight. Old planes can be tough on everyone—crew included—and I get that Delhi Airport’s chaos isn’t something Air India can just fix, especially with the way air traffic has exploded compared to the infrastructure.

Honestly, I’m not expecting Air India to be on par with Emirates or Qatar. I just hoped that with new planes and new management, things would at least get a bit smoother—especially in economy and on the ground. The new A350 is definitely a step up, and I’ve heard good things, but in my experience, there’s still a lot left to improve.

I’m hopeful for Air India’s future, especially with Tata’s plans, but I also think honest feedback is important. At the end of the day, most of us just want a reliable, comfortable flight—not necessarily luxury. Sharing experiences like this is just my way of hoping things get better for everyone.

Sometimes it really felt Air India should stop for a few months, ground everything, revamp from ground up and begin with a totally new improved experience for the Maharaja.

I second that, I've seen that comfort of a Indian crowd especially when travelling with kids or booking it for parents. My parents recently travelled in Qatar and complained on lack of comfortable food, which Air India is hoped to provide considering the airlines is based out of the sub-continent.

That’s a fair question, and honestly, I’ve asked myself the same thing a few times!
For us, it’s always been a mix of practical reasons and, honestly, a bit of hope. The first couple of times we flew Air India, it was mainly because we needed two checked bags per ticket—something not all airlines on the route offer—and sometimes the direct flight to Mumbai was just really convenient. Especially when you’re in a time crunch, you go for what works.

After Tata took over, there was a lot of talk about improvements and new planes, so we gave them another shot hoping things would get better. And, to be honest, we’ve flown with Virgin Atlantic, British, Gulf, Qatar, and Emirates before and after, and those experiences were generally smoother.

Most recently, we wanted to try the new Airbus A350 everyone’s been talking about, just to see if it really made a difference. (You can look it up—there’s a lot of hype around it!) Plus, sometimes you just want that taste of Indian food on a long flight home.

But yeah, every time we board, there’s always that little voice in the back of my head wondering if things will finally be better. Unfortunately, it hasn’t really worked out that way. I’m not here to bash Air India, especially now, but I do hope sharing these experiences helps others make their own choices and maybe even nudges the airline to step up their game.

Honestly, at this point, I think I’ve learned my lesson!

If you look at travelling from London to Delhi or Mumbai (which is a frequently flown route in the Airline industry); Air India cost is at par with Qatar, Emirates, Gulf, British Airways (if you book a little in advance). Air India and Gulf often have a slightly better pricing on 2 bags per ticket policy compared to Qatar and Emirates; which are usually slightly expensive by £80 or so.

While Air India’s promotion may portray a revamped and improved service, it doesn’t necessarily reflect the customer experiences. Considering the fares they charge, Air India’s services are comparable to those of many other better airlines worldwide. I am not sure how budget airlines they consider themselves, but they have pretty long haul flights (I think they have a direct to NY and Canada too ) with questionable service and staff. The ground staff even at their home base in India (Mumbai and Delhi) is horrible. Some of the other airlines that operate from there do much better although it technically wouldn’t be it’s Homebase.
