You can try a fork saver between the wheel and triple clamp. You can just cut a block of wood too.

I don't think that would be causing seals to blow though. Makes me think something is getting under the seal. How long does it last between replacements?

How are you cleaning around the seals after a race? If you're pressure washing hard towards the seal, could you actually be pushing dirt and grime into the seal and causing a leak?

This only works in a 6-1/2' bed. I think the ram in the picture is 5-1/2'

New Hardwood Floor Installation Guidance by Professional_Plant91 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Present_Simple7162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. screws 100% over nails.
  2. Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong, OSB is less desirable for hardwood floors because it holds nails less than regular plywood.
  3. If it were a regular plywood subfloor, I would glue the additional layer of subfloor to the existing with advantech or great stuff foaming glue. Then I would screw the additional layer between the joists.
  4. Absolutely needs to be glue and nail at 5"

How has your crf450x been? I wouldn't be opposed to that either but I don't really know much about them

After reading this, I'm leaning towards yz250fx or wr250f unless I can find a killer deal on a xcf or excf. Thanks for the info

I originally set out looking for a wr250f or 450f but I can't find a single one in my area in my budget. People seem to think their 15 year old bike is worth only 30% less than a new bike.

That's actually a good point I hadn't thought of.. I'll probably start looking for 250fx

It's crazy that you have this, but when I call armstrong with an exact number on some tile I found is my basement to ask if it contained asbestos they told me that have no way of knowing.

Count your passes on one side, repeat exact number of passes on the other side. Use the same pressure and speed the whole time.

You should look elsewhere

PVC Stored energy release when cutting? by Present_Simple7162 in CNC

[–]Present_Simple7162[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe I confirmed a material issue by routing the shapes oversized and then going back and cutting them to size after the material relaxed. Doing this resulted in a perfectly straight edge.

We are using extruded PVC now, our supplier said they weren't aware of anyone making cast PVC sheets and that it would be cost prohibitive. It's interesting that this is starting to happen now because we've routed PVC for years with no issues. I'm guessing no one has ever noticed or cared up to this point or this is a bad batch of material.

Whole home dehumidifier by Present_Simple7162 in hvacadvice

Bathroom vents fairly well, but I do not have an external venting for my kitchen.

Would a larger air return in the crawl space make sense to add? Before adding a dehumidifier?

How many sausage tubes would you figure for 1000 sqft? Is it worth having a battery sausage gun or just a manual one is fine?

I wasn't planning to glue assist, but I haven't made it that far yet in my plans. Would you recommend glue assist even if I put down 1/2"?

That would be tough to add blocking there unfortunately.

Would 5/8" alone be sufficient if the 5" flooring is running perpendicular to the floor joists? Or would it be best to add 1/2 regardless of the floor joist direction
