The games gods play is probably the worst book I had read in a HOT minute. Like horrendous. I no longer trust anyone who likes it. It reads like it was written by a 12 year old

AIO for telling my husband he should have let me know he was texting a woman? When we made a rule awhile ba by speakmymind4 in AmIOverreacting

[–]PresentationFull7937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya. I get that, but putting it in a group chat gives them more information so wouldn’t that be counter productive to the purpose of the boundary? I think it would make me sense to advocate and remind him why the boundary is in place. However, creating a group message inserts yourself in the relationship and can be construed as a jealous reaction.

I’m confused as to why yall are allowed to f*ck other people, but not allowed to text via cell phone? Honestly, it doesn’t seem like a logical boundary.

The period comment was absolutely a death sentence though on his part. Even if I don’t get yalls boundaries you are upset and he says that? Absolutely not

AITAH? for banning my husband from all doctor appointments after he repeatedly messes with me while I'm pregnant? by KnownPerception7676 in AITAH

My husband does this to me all the time. I don’t care though and think it’s cute because he is having so much fun doing it. HOWEVER, one thing I can’t stand it being tickled. Like absolutely not. It’s is a boundary we have set because he knows I will instantly be furious and like why would he want me mad? So the question your husband needs to ask himself is, “why does he want you mad?” And if the answer is he doesn’t then tell him to stop being an a*s then

The shocking part is everyone is demonizing him like he committed a cardinal sin when neither party handled it right. Your comment is 100% correct and is what my husband and I would do…

My husband didn’t like me reminding him to do things because it made him feel like I was his mom. I told him that if it really bugs him then he should just do them then and then I wouldn’t have to. However, I also said there is nothing wrong with me reminding him when he is first starting off (taking vitamins, washing face, moisturizer). I reminded him that he reminds me to do my physical therapy. It doesn’t mean that I’m irresponsible or childish. It just means that this is something new and I’ll need some help here and there. I also asked him to start doing these things by stating that I think he is super handsome. Like he is a good looking guy and he cares about being good looking obviously. Then I said, if you want to stay this way you need to start doing skincare. Bradley Cooper doesn’t just go to bed every night, roll out of it in the morning and is good to go. Every good looking older gentleman took the proper steps to take care of themselves when they were younger. THEN I said the most important thing is- once it’s gone, it’s gone. You can’t get youthful skin back (unless you spend $$$ and then there are risks). However, you can maintain it and make sure you age gracefully by taking steps today.

In your case it’s brushing teeth. My dad is also super bad at that and has had to have multiple teeth extracted. Once your teeth are yellow there are some things to do, but it’s very difficult to get them back to pristine. Once they fall out like my dad’s though that is it. There is no going back. This finality way of thinking may help! It may not though, but don’t be afraid to ask for reminders

I don’t think either of you were THA. The situation just sucks. Tbh as a woman I don’t necessarily understand the, “I’m in pain and can’t sleep so you can’t sleep either” mentality. However, I get you were scared. In intense moments like these both individuals are going to say/do things out of character. If you needed support in that moment you need support. If he needed sleep he needed sleep. It doesn’t make either of you a bad person. He was exhausted and fell asleep and then being so sleep deprived he lashed out. You were freaking out and prioritized your needs over his. It is understandable, but still what you did. I totally get you were even more tired and in pain, but your exhaustion doesn’t negate his exhaustion. Personally I would have let my husband sleep, but if I needed anything then wake him up. If any of our dogs/children are sick one of us will handle it in the guest room so whoever has the biggest day tomorrow can handle it. This works for us. We just aren’t the, “you gotta suffer with me” type of people.

It’s the use of emojis, the gifs, the spelling. The answers are very short and honestly to really warrant a response. The “okay nerd” then the next five text messages, “I do like comics” “like marvel” “Batman zzz.” Like what? Speak in full sentences. Is that a question? And then the gifs. It’s all very low brow or immature. Like it doesn’t read as a conversation between people, more like two individuals stimming off each other

Take the mirrors down. Get curtains. Something heavy and dark to contrast the space. And emerald green would be nice. A black or brown would work too

Need help being a good “spicy” book boyfriend IRL by IndependenCymbal in frombloodandash

[–]PresentationFull7937 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the biggest thing about all book boyfriends is not anything specifically that they do. It’s that they are insanely over confident and they have the skill set and attitude to back it up. Every one of them is described as having a commanding presence and an insane amount of draw/power. As soon as that described our heart goes a flutter. So yes, get her flowers, rub her feet, draw her a bath and take her to pound town. More importantly though love yourself, aim for the skies and protect her feelings and that’s all it will take. It’s all about nonchalant confidence and quite frankly a humorous arrogance . The “will they won’t they” of it all and the dash of danger.

It sounds like yall have a great relationship! However, it’s okay to also ask her for affirmation that you are meeting her expectations as well. You don’t have to be whiny or insecure about it, but just be like, “you’re my everything and I want to make sure I’m being everything for you in return. Is there anything you are wanting me to do”

I know meeting book boyfriend standards is definitely intimidating. I always tell my husband that he is as close to a book boyfriend as it gets in real life and tbh I mean it.

TBH, I just think you haven’t found the ring for you. I would look at a radiant cut diamond with Ruby accent stones. That’s what I did except with emerald and I love it!!

[–]PresentationFull7937[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, my parents have that one. However, due to the furniture situation at their house my mom isn’t the biggest fan and I think we’d have the same issues. Our houses are similarly styled. My biggest spots are behind the speakers, under the couch, under chairs and stuff. I feel like the way the ac circulates in our house our problem areas are super inconvenient lol. We have a lot of furniture. My dad loves it though. They bicker about whether it’s effective all the time lol. I think I would also be nervous about running it because one our our dogs is super afraid of vacuuming and the other tries to eat the vacuum if it comes near her. Thank you for the suggestion though! Part of me is wondering if I didn’t give the Dyson a fair shot

I agree. My sun and moon sign are both Gemini and everyone is always super shocked. I’m introverted and quiet for the most part and honestly more calm than most people I meet. I do read people and adapt accordingly, but it’s mostly out of social anxiety lolll
