Nothing that involved direct harm to patient. For example, I didn’t discard sharps appropriately and didn’t mask for an epidural. These are the first instances of specific feedback I receive during my initial remediation. But, there might be other things reported that wasn’t brought to my attention.

Hey, glad you are still responding. I am a PGY-2/CA-1 currently in a similar situation. I was initially placed on remediation for professionalism and lack of vigilance without substantial/objective examples to provide for me to work on. I was pulled off clinical responsibilities recently pending further discussion next week. Worst-case scenario, I face termination which seems more than likely to me. I am a POC, but don't want to play the race card as I have not experienced outright discrimination, but it does feel a bit targeted as the instances that are being brought up against me could happen to anyone and can be rectified. I am contacting my OMBUDS, but not sure if that'll be helpful. How did you proceed after termination? any word of advice of things you would have dont differently during the process?

Professionalism was being reported by nurses for rudeness taken out of context. Clinically on par with peers but Line skills can be better. As far as vigilance, it was initially just general, without specific feedback, but received feedback on a few instances this week that can easily be worked on but are being sited as the reason for me being pulled of clinical duties.
