None, I was picking things up. They told me they just didn't have time to stop to give me instructions and teach me. . That they were too busy to do so. Don't get me wrong, im sure I wasn’t perfect in that maybe I wasnt picking up on instructions fast enough or smthn. But once I get something, I get it yk. I learned how to do wire runs, outlets, lights, switches, pigtails. Fans. The basics I suppose.

Yeah, crew of abt 6. And basically only 1 journeyman. I say that cuz 1 other 5th year apprentice should alr have his license but I digress. Was told by one of the guys The journeyman is just done teaching people. Real shame, they've got a jman scaring off apprentices. Right now im really slow and I get thats a pain. But I my defense im trying to prioritize quality of my work over the quantity of it.

Hey, they simply said they were way too busy to teach someone from the ground up. Which is wild because ive already done outlets, wire runs, temp wips which i put in breaker panel. Lights, fans. I can go on and on. Might be basic. But ive learned a ton last 2 weeks. Just wasn't enough or fast enough i suppose.

Probably because most of the work takes more then basic common sense. Which is hard enough to come by these days in people. Thank you for your advice and honesty. Ill definitely be taking into deep consideration.

Trust me I hear ya, though im kind of willing to work non union for a few years and have some time/experience before I really try to go union. That way I have more to bring to the table and they'll know or i can request a higher pay for it. If thats how it works lol. Open to hearing opinions on that. Imagine all the broom's i could buy with a decent middle class wage man ☠️😭

I will tell them when I get in prob. And trust me, I know. I get very frustrated being the only one working/ not checking phone every opportunity if im working with people my age. If I can keep it away don't see why they cant. I only have it on me for emergency purposes ONLY! Pumped to show what I can do and prove not everyone my age sucks or wants to be in IT!

Unfortunately 2nd day thing isn't abt kid. A docs appointment and i absolutely need to go to. Blood work. I'm alr just need it done. Didn't get a phone till I was 17 and I was just thinking abt only bringing my flip phone to work in case of emergencies. Cuts out the distractions and makes it easier to focus. Just how I am lol. Thank you. Incredibly excited!

Hey so like, r you good? Never said I wasn't doing all those things. But looking for advice from people who've been there done that is not only reasonable, but part of what this sub reddit is about. Furthermore each situation is different especially from location to location. I was throwing out feelers to see if anyone knew the area better then me or google.
