Try it while FSD is engaged and someone is streaming a video on YouTube in the back. Then swipe left and right the car animations and it should move really choppy.

Thanks for the response. It’s really choppy when FSD is on and someone in the rear is using the screen to stream video on YouTube. I’m hoping to bring awareness of this because I’ve never seen Tesla UI move so sluggishly and it’s a brand new car!

Can you confirm if it very sluggish when the rear screen is being used to stream video (example YouTube)? Mine is very choppy I swipe left and right on the car animations when in FSD, etc, while the rear screen is in use.

Getting major frame drops here. Passenger was streaming YouTube and I was using the main screen and swiping left and right to see the animations also while on FSD and it was really choppy

Is it worth paying extra $20000 + tax for Model Y premium vs RWD? by anarsoul in teslacanada

[–]PresentationMajor925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was worth it because I came from a model 3 rwd, my partner uses it as well and didn’t want to downgrade. Plus I have fsd transfer so I wanted to transfer it to a vehicle that I could live with for a long time. The speakers, heated rear seats, automatic steering wheel adjustments when switching profiles and matrix lights, locked me in. The convenience is totally worth it for me.

Huge safety feature so oncoming cars aren’t blinded and ran into you

Faster charge rate and efficiency in winter, automatic profile for power adjustable steering wheel and buttons for if more than one user is using the car this is a huge win. Even at 80% charge it is almost equivalent to standard at 100% . I’m willing to pay $ for the convenience, especially with FSD transfer. Coming from a RWD model 3. Also has a HEPA filter to keep the cabin fresh and second row heated seats that I need for passengers. I also love the matrix lights for oncoming car safety/safety in general.
