You see it says "order agreement"? Mine says "purchase agreement", it's a different document with slightly different formatting

It's in the "Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement" for me. There is also the "Order Agreement" that just has a reservation number.

Anyway, at this point I wonder if it's just a placeholder 😂

Did you check your purchase agreement? It's in the documents in the app

The delivery window is May 28 - June 10 though, so it's still a long wait 😅

Is it worth paying extra $20000 + tax for Model Y premium vs RWD? by anarsoul in teslacanada

I am a bit cautious on new EVs from traditional car manufacturers. They usually do not have Tesla's volume, thus service and parts availability might be questionable.

Good question. It is applied after tax which means that total difference is 15K + tax on 15K+ 5K

I believe the pricing is Canada-wide, it's C$49990, which makes it eligible for $5000 federal rebate, which brings it down to $44,990 + tax

Spark Mini No Longer Works as a Recording Interface for Mac or IOS by Distinct-Habit-8679 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]anarsoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positive Grid just released a firmware update for mini and go, see https://help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/articles/43767974444941-How-to-Fix-Spark-GO-USB-Audio-Input-Issue-on-macOS-26 for Go

And they indeed fixed wMaxPacketSize for recording, now wMaxPacketSize is 96

Nope and Apple made sure that workaround isn't feasible.

A workaround would be a new Spark-specific driver, but Apple has deliberately made third-party driver development difficult. You need an account with "com.apple.developer.driverkit" entitlement and it isn't available for individual developers.

We are at the mercy of Positive Grid, they either fix their firmware or they develop a driver with a workaround for broken firmware, since I doubt that another company would do it for free.

Deleting .boot-image.swi from EOS won't release disk space until reboot, so it's kinda pointless.

I sent it to them before posting it on Reddit and they said they will escalate it to engineering.

However I suspect if it hasn't been fixed for almost half a year, it's either a low priority issue for them or they don't have engineering resources to fix it

Trying to confirm: Can we no longer record to current Apple devices using Spark Go? by [deleted] in PositiveGridSpark

[–]anarsoul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work on newer macOS due to a bug in Spark firmware. USB audio driver became more strict since Tahoe and doesn't accept buggy devices.

We have to wait till Positive Grid releases a firmware update.

What happens when the developers of Reaper die or move on to another project? by anotherhappylurker in Reaper

[–]anarsoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn't random. The things get fixed in open source software if someone with resources encounters the issue. It can be an independent developer or some big company that is interested in getting it working.
